Jookeyman wrote:An idea here - I just went back and mapped this out. How about one bar on the Ab before the Bb jump? There is one bar that is open after the tritone ascent (that ends in Db) and the snare pop leading to the Bb!! Crap, if I could punch in here I could do it but I'm doing this all by myself and that's not possible (unfortunately). Maybe you could try this on your recording? Just an idea......... 8)

that's not bad...i tried it playing along on acoustic and it works and i believe i could sell it that way. but before trying your idea...i had another idea i wanted to try cos it looked good on paper.

since we're talking about a set up chord, i thought B7 could nicely set up the BbM7.

1. because "B7" IS the 5 of all that Em previous harmony, and...
2. "B7" is the tritone sub for F7 another obvious choice to set up a BbM7 chord but much cooler sounder voice leading!

if you feel like...try popping a B7 into that one bar hole you ID'd...then, slide down to a nice fat BbM7 and then every two bars or so fly in a real quick BMaj7 to set up the BbMaj7.

that way that FIRST "B" as played w a dom 7 voicing has all this bite....but then when you switch it over to the same shape and same voiced Maj7 chord (as BbMaj7) just up a half step......that now has just a little bit of tang to it!!!

ok, now to figure out and settle on one of a thousand ways to get over to the FMaj tonality. Maybe i'll change that up and play it as FM7#11 and run some lydian stuff into the ground!!!

Are they fans now? lol...of course they are. I cant even see what theyre posting, but they do it anyway. They can't help it. lmao! How's that new music coming? Post it when you're done. Don't forget the timing & reverb.

The difference between winning and losing is knowing when you're beat. I guess some find out the hard way they got nothing left. Oh well...moving on.

right now at this second me and the guy with the seed co. promo gigs are discussing music on facebook via facebook messages..he was the 12 string guitarist I played with last summer in Jesse Cole James Band.. he contacted me out of the blue yesterday explaining his new musical opportunity with a seed co. he is doing photography video work for also as a hire.. they are becoming quite tough here but p-guy always said it was a tough crowd here.. jook was trying to help me, and now I have lost him as a friend, all he had to do was read the entire thread and see that I was not asking for any help.. jook is a good guy, feel bad about it, but thw world will still turn

Don't be too disappionted. They can't help each other let alone you. I see you trying to break the cycle of failure by separating yourself from the ones you left behind creatively. You should've done it a long time ago. It didn't take me long to see through the bull. Your help will come from those who have skin in the game. A bum can't help you, so don't ask'em to. And dont feel bad moving foward, just know you're leaving useless things and people behind you. Succeed alone or fail together.

yeah, but they don't realize how big of heart I really have, I have often wondered what their agendas are here on this board other than slapping each other on the back commenting about how good each other's music is... which is all well and good, when it is not intended as deceitful to help build somebody's ego up for somebody they sense that needs a lift.. but to make a habit of it? is it really healthy for the one that is getting smoke blown up his ass? ..as the eagles said, in "the long run". I think not, it is a detriment, boosting somebody's belief in themselves as a badass musician who then goes plays in a live environment and fails to deliver..or worse..

Has Not Ready ever heard of an ameteur musician vs a professional musician? I'm a construction worker. I play music on the weekend if family life doesn't get in the way and I produce music on the computer the rest of the week. I do this to keep from going crazy, not a payday (or implied payday) as he claims he does it for. As for a professional musician like Mark, Jeff or Ted, nothing against them, wish them all the best. But I'm in a different boat and never claimed otherwise. My music is posted on SoundCloud and I have real followers who make amazing music in their own right. That's a huge feather in my cap, as opposed to Not Ready's claims that tens or hundreds or thousands of fans have viewed some chicken sh*t thread on an underused forum. Thank you.
