damn....i think i might enjoy irony TOO much.

i had a cool an "Echo-Rec", a very cool echoplex like machine that had THE coolest amber colored plastic knobs. Super high quality and solid feeling but they were also like little jewels. just gorgeous work that went into those.

i sold it a few yrs ago and as much as i wanted to hang on those knobs.....i would have to have taken a big hit on the selling price.

back to bakelite.

my first lap steel was an old Rick that had a solid one pc black bakelite body. ya know...IT was thing of beauty. and i bet you wouldn't kick it outta bed, Jook!

Went to Hinckley Grand Casino last night and at the 777 Silver Club inside the Casino was "Robby Vee" son of Bobby Vee was jamming out with some old 50, 60 and 70's tunes.

i didn't even have to wait.... i saw those bigsbyfied archtop rockabilly gitfiddles, and those outfits... and i damn well KNEW there'd be some perching on the dog house!

I should have mentioned..... I asked our band instructor (who was my guitar teacher for 3 years in high school) to tell me how to do that picking pattern from Dust In The Wind. He made it a class project for about two weeks. I can do the Travis pick in my sleep.

I like keeping the trash separated from the treasure. Don't let my band of idiots who have nothing better to do...or play...stop you from getting in on the action going on in my city. They have way too much time on their hands. Use yours wisely. Thanks for all the calls in enquiries. I'm getting you all set on this end. Music updates ready now. BM...if you want me to become a premiere member, your gonna have to do something about your troll problem. I understand this is where you keep them, but it still makes BM look low class. Fix that for me would you. Thanks.

I knew it was getting crowded with bums, but so does a train station.
