everything so far points towards your oft expressed goal to be successful AT music. excuse me if i got that wrong, but that's the takeaway i've gotten from all your posts. zero talk about what if anything about music gets your ankles hard.

i have zero doubt that music IS the lifeblood for Dane, Jook, Schmed, RG, Vinny, Mike, and many others here. But you....well, if music IS your lifeblood......you have a funny way of showing it.

(and maybe coming off that way is just one more impediment of your's that's keeping you from attracting musicians who want sign on to your deal)

Its because its synchronized. Every instrument in tune and in rhythm. Its not like live music where a player may be off key or out beat. Plus there's no vocal which makes it more obvious. That part is intentional. My music is made for vocals and backing vocals. You gotta leave room.

yeah, i got that. but the problem when you quantitize, sequence, and snap to grid is that it no longer sounds like humans playing music. it sounds robotic. stiff. it doesn't swing. it doesn't groove.

as far as being in tune and time.....that's a skill that real musicians need to possess and hone. if you can can only play in tune and in time by sequencing things.....you need to get your butt in the prct room and do some serious woodshedding.

and esp so if you're talking about "soul music"...."blues"....."jazz"!!!!! c'mon....man....ya got to be able play that stuff IN THE ROOM w other real life musicians..... if you can't and need to play "sequenced stuff" to sound good.....you have much work to do.

My sound and style are out of bounds and beyond your scales and theories, Socrates. You cant get it mainly because you can't do it...I mean play it...can't get all those sounds together alone. I really don't need a band. Playing live is no different. Just stop listening so hard. You're such a fan.
