Your recording is from a computer using the windows midi sound files.

The rasp and the hum is coming from not grounding the computer with the recording device.

ready, don't sweat it about the Cm7 thing..I winged it, after analyzing a listen or two of it, and thought it will take quite some time to figure out all the changes.. the bass runs, would need to be converted into related chords.. too much work and time for not to be paid..

This was passed over, not a pass around...mainly because it had no standards for any musician to follow. If you knew structure as well as you know scale, the song would have had more add ons. [uot]

I had to laugh when dane was beefing about needing the "changes" that i was playing on a 12 bar Cm Blues! And this was AFTER i HAD provided a road map detailing what was going on!

But i wasn't gonna to bust him on that silliness. You on the other hand...


Here's the roadmap that I DID provide. Memp...Your lamebrained assertion that i don't have the where-with-all to explain anything I play is more of the usual BS you toss off regularly and why you've made yourself a pariah around here.

OK...i just recorded a bass line w Cm jazz blues changes.

I just did this one take and not crazy about it, so no one's gonna hurt my feelings if it doesn't make the grade and you want me to take another shot...

...and i played a little melody up front when the bass enters. It seemed a good idea at the time but now i'm not so sure!

Whoever wants to come up w a head (melody) for this, you can either double up the bass melody, or after it completes it's once around and starts walking, you can then play your head there.

i'll also record a Major blues in Bb...that's the key Cajundaddy requested.

if anyone likes this version and wants to work with it.....here's the lay of the land for what's going on:

it's basically a straightup C minor blues w a Dm7b5 G7 turnaround.

at around 1:58 i play an Eb7 D7 Db7 Cm turnaround 8 times that takes things up to about 2:22

the drums go by themselves (i think we should leave that as just drums!)

then we're back to our blues progression for a few more times around

and after the last time around at around 3:58 i repeat the Dm7b5 G7 a few times.....then i play my head again at 4:09

4:24 to end is just vamping on Cm7

and if what you hear is the bass line just "playing scales" you clearly have tin ears to match your tin foil hat!

and Dane...and Memp......because I'm such a nice guy and more than a little frightened that you guys can't hear the simple changes of a 12 bar Cm Blues.....let me lay it all out for you.

Memp... if you ever do play w other musicians you really WILL need to know how to play a simple 12 bar minor blues form! Check it out Dane....these are the elusive changes you claimed to have trouble hearing!

Dayne tried to play over the madness and got grilled for it so bad he removed it from SC, so it died with you (murderer) lol Try learning to dribble before you pass the ball (I slammed it) I've played, playing and will play with other musicians. Will it be you?...not at this rate. Stop plucking and start playing.

Sounds like it was recorded by playing the original track out through speakers, then tracked with a phone. Quite a "studio" that "Jasir" has there.

Sorry, Mark. I listened to about 10 second of ready/memphis' track, that's all I could stand, the sound was so bad. I knew the backing track sounded different, but thought he had started at some mid-point of it, and the horrific sound was just due to the playback/recording method. Of course his 'excuse' that he only posts the 'joe' sound here is as feeble as his attempts to make any good music.
