The idea that any on this Forum take offense to mere words is hysterical to me. Any Human Behaviourist would find this forum rich and rewarding. It is like mosquitoes ... you can not get rid of them all but those that land you can swat. So swat away and endure.

as if it isn't pathetic enough to waste your time actually starting threads about another member (how many is this now????) ...you've actually made HOW many posts here exactly?? so, how many more paragraphs are you two gonna spend showing us how to spend time wisely?

this thread is not about you, it's about a novel I am writing, about fictitious characters..not bandmix members..quit inferring yourself into everything that is creative..you just need to stick with tearing things down, that's what you are good at..

Planet Guy ... you should have a job advertising ... seriously ... I do find many of your graphic posts quite funny ... even those chiding myself. When you look at what is out there yours would often be far superior. Of course we all have our downsides as well.

Dayne ... regarding your novel for something different.

I have written a book from which I base in part my current Performanze Series. It was premiered at the Cervantino Celebration recently. "Future World" is not published yet but it is complete in English. There are 13 Chapters and I will do several performances on each Chapter. My wife translates each Narration which is a short edited combination of each Chapter. When I am done I hope to have a collage of videos from the entire series outlining the book as well as both English and Spanish versions of each accompanying narration. When and if this is ever achieved then I will have an effective marketing tool with which to approach publishers with as well as illustrations taken from stills of the videos. I am slowly sussing out possible publishers. What are you doing and going to do to both publish and market you Novel ?

The Truck Stop is total americana and offers some great possibilities I think. The music as well. You know Talbot is deeply involved in a zombie themed production I assume ? I have not seen an update on his work but he might have some good advice to pass along if he is so inclined. I think pretty much everyone on BM would like your project to be successful. if you and Talbot want to post some pointers on how to make a better novel I am all ears and eyes, think I need to start out indexing sub-plots first? correct.. an outline, starting with a time period, setting, intro , etc. sub-plots that weave in with the whole of what the author's story is trying to convey?
Begin with character. ...
Give that character a compelling problem. ...
Make things happen! ...
Make it believable. ...
Stick with it the project. ...
And lastly: Ignore the rules.

no, there's nothing offensive about the words 'jew', "you" or the word "down".

what IS offensive is the very offensive implication that the words "Jew you down"convey...namely that jews are cheap and always looking for a bargain.


here's another example.....is there anything "offensive" about these mere "words"....

"dogs"? ....no
"mother"?... no
"your"?....no
"blows"?....no

but were i to say you "your mother blows dogs".....perhaps YOU won't take "offense", but I'd venture to say that most others would.

doubt it? then say that to next five strangers you run into and then get back to me. and as you're picking yourself up off the ground and dusting yourself off, you can explain to them...."hey, it's just WORDS!".

i'm kind of surprised you need such an elementary thing as that explained to you....it's not "words" that offend.... but what the words convey that's relevant, and as such can be deemed "offensive".

furthermore...let me point out that using your yardstick to measure being "offended" by "words"......you are CONSTANTLY "offended" by words on this forum! and likely more so than any other here.

I used to frequent the MSN penny stock board known as ADSX Applied Digital Solutions, it had some neat characters we all discussed ADSX as well as other implantable device stocks like Digital Angel etc. basically building each other's confidence that we all were right in line, with investing in the next big thing (implantable tracking devices) one character Peter Baron was an artist in Walnut Creek, Calif. he actually painted an oil painting for me and mailed it to me and used it as an album cover art an alien (a gray) on the moon basking in a beach chair on surface of the moon with a U.S. flag on a pole in the distance Earth out in space and viewable .. actually have forgotten his username on the board? there was architecto25, treesrgreen, and others, but getting back on track, this Peter Baron also got into writing, and his were always published on AMAZON..this was back in 2002-2003 era.. and I believe it was either free to publish a book or relatively low cost to do so, maybe AMAZON has dropped this "publishing" feature by now but 13 years ago maybe 10 years ago, it was a cost efficient way to publish

listen planetguy, there is a new drum track out, and if you fell like adding something first to it, go ahead, I would just ask, if and when you are done adding to it, and are ready to pass it on to next musician in line, that you try to be more clear as to what you envision as far as notes to be added, maybe not for others, but If I get to it, send me a chart, or say I just want these notes or this chord at 2:22 to 2:45.... you really were not very slick about the way you dissed my playing especially the way tou omitted my name but complaining to others about the idiot slathering, spraying, and playing random out of tune notes.. on your piece,

unlike this forum there was never any insults tolerated, we all worked together to trade ADSX on the bounces etc.

I am pretty tired of planetguy and his accomplice believing he is the smartest and wisest person here, from what others have posted, I feel I am in line with most here.. he his coloring with a broad swath of the brush, lumping his perceived offense by me into all what I say or do here.. dissing everything I say or do, (such as the dim bulb comment) based on his demanding I owe him an apology about making an innocent comment about( jewing somebody down) now many months ago? I even apologized months ago, but he claimed it was not worded correctly? or not genuine? give me a break.. I have no respect for somebody who would hate or despise everything I do or say here, because they think I owe them something? if that's the case why is he not demanding apologies from everybody( that in his mind) has slighted him? why am I the only one? maybe because he holds me in lower esteem than the others? he has accused others of being liars? correct?

No he is not as smart as me. If he handed me a bunch of Crap... I would invite him over... and make dinner for him...Out of his gift. UMMMMM.
