There were not many people who really thought Trump would pull it off. I had resigned to more government tyranny, lies, deception, corruption. I was walking around hopeless about the future of America because we had become a curse to Israel and it was going to escalate under Clinton. And even though I voted, it seemed pointless.

Then I heard that a landslide had happened.

Last night was my first "gig" since then and even the songs seemed to have a different meaning now. Hope for a day when the people of America have throttled the Dept of Propaganda. Do you know this is the first time the GOP has had this kind of power since 1929? Now the warning: that was the beginning of the Great Depression.

So now the work of governing begins....

I hope the first thing he does is revoke the citizenship of George Soros so the phony protests and fake riots come to an end. Fat chance but a guy can dream, right?

Excellent interchanges. JookeyMan ... I think a better term for Trump would be "Populist" as opposed to "Moderate". If Trump does even half of what he promised right away then he casn not do it in a moderate fashion. The National Debt is out of control and if he is able to just get it under control and stabilize it, then this to me would be a great accomplishment.

Yod ... I think there is a different atmosphere, a more positive one despite the ridiculous "protests". Perhaps it is only the rebirth of Hope but it is Good and if it is fed with Right Action then it will grow. this is very positive indeed.

Excellent well taken points ... If he is afforded this "luxury" it will be a hard won one. Changing the future is not easy but not impossible. As Yod has said there seems to be a rebirth of Hope in the face of all this adversity and negativity. His success as a Business Man speaks for itself. Much better than more of the same. And what is definately needed.

Jookeyman, your comments are excellent. Trickle down economics are so real and far more strangling when HIDDEN government regulations and hidden taxes on the path to bringing a product to market...
General Mills can produce a box of cereal for 5 cents. So then why the heck is it 5 bucks when it gets to a store shelf?
It is because all along the path to market... We have a government handing down true trickle down economics. Taxes, regulation, and compliance. That and even the truck driver deserves to be paid, as well as everyone involved in free economic enterprise.
I am only trying to mention the tip of the troubles. Get into health care... 50 dollar aspirin?

Some very good comments all around. I agree with Vamp, I think it would be more accurate to consider Trump a populist.

I have no doubt he will try to run the government in the same way as he does his business, which more people than you may realize agree with and it's what I've wanted to see for a long time. I've always thought it was interesting that the country has been run for 50 years by people who have made millions for themselves, but let the country go broke. Every president since LBJ has left us deeper in debt than when they started. Why do they do that while they have the financial savvy to make millions for themselves? Because they care only about themselves and their money and power.

I'm expecting a lot to get done. The riots will gradually slow down as interest wanes, but I fear it will have to play itself out, our current government still hasn't said a word about it. I don't know if Trump will go after Soros, but I think he will. Russia already has a warrant out for him, maybe that's one thing he can work out with Putin when they start talking. Hand him over to Russia and let him sit in a Russian prison for life...Maybe a trade for Snowden?

His first concern is going to be border security and deporting criminal illegal immigrants. in the first few months he'll have a full plate for sure. Getting diplomatic relationships sorted out with many countries is going to be high on his list, and getting taxes reduced, regulations reduced, spending reduced, especially frivolous spending, and I'm expecting a whole lot of useless grants and projects to be dropped. Trump is not a guy who believes in spending more than you make.

That's where people miss the message on economy. On the surface, it seems to make no sense to reduce taxes, then build up the military, it sounds like they would be mutually exclusive...but...his tax plan also includes wiping out a lot of the loopholes, tax shelters and write offs that allow people like himself to pay little or nothing in taxes, so while the percentage they pay will go down, the actual dollar amount could go up. Then kill a lot of the stupid grants and research projects, like putting a shrimp on a treadmill, I hope to see a lot of government subsidies gone too, trim the fat, and cut back spending in a big way, while bringing back jobs that are gone and at least $2 trillion sitting offshore, companies will be able to invest in expanding and creating jobs again, wages might actually go up for a change, cut back spending everywhere possible until we're not spending more than we take in, and watch the economy take off.

College educated idiots...boy have I seen plenty of those...college s no longer an education, it's an indoctrination.

Clinton and Bush families are far from gone. Bill and Hillary are getting Chelsea ready for a senate run right now. They'll be back, but a new generation. Bill and Hillary are done, but the family will still try to keep its ugly nose in government. Same for the Bush family. Jeb is not too old to make another try for president, and they have another cousin or whatever coming up too, George P I think it is. Neither one is out of the game, this election was just a setback. It remains to be seen whether the voters will actually accept them or not. I hope not. Both the Clinton and Bush families need to fade until they are nothing more than a bad memory. And they are not the only ones. I know Harry Reid has a son, does Nancy Pelosi have kids? I don't know. There are others as well, I can't remember anyone who stands out at the moment. We'll hear from the Bush and Clinton clans again, I'm just hoping the people don't listen.

Trump has to be elected by the Electoral College in December I think before Christmas. If this does not happen then ....

The greatest Danger ... Assassination. I agree that if he makes it he will go Trump on everything ...that is using his business acumen and negotiation abilities to the benefit of the Nation. Regarding taxes, just look what JFK did and it worked ... obviously times are a bit different but the IRS and Corporate filth are much much worse so that will make Trump's Tax Plan even more effective i believe.
