I can't stand when musicians think they are solo acts....get your dumb ego in check!! It's one thing to be good,but it's a whole other thing to be licking your own nuts...If all you want is to get paid for playing ....go stand on the corner you little bum...or get a real job!! I want to find peeps who want to play because they grew up listening to earth wind and fire,and stevie wonder, the reason you play in the first place is because of these people...look in the mirror....."rock star"..two thumbs down to you...bboooooooooooooooo....

Hate to burst your bubble, but several of us here are working soloists - including myself. That's no swipe at people who want to be in bands, more power to them.

Why you're so pissed off at soloists is a subject for a therapist, I think.

I listened to that stuff your calling music....only good wayyyyy underground...like 6 feet down....there's nothing new to your style at all ..your just another in the race faking jacks taking up space...

hey rick ashley( ) i play as a solo artist...and i play in a two piece...and i play in a full five piece band....by your logic i shouldnt exist...yes your a lost little soul alright...


lastnight i played a solo accoustic gig as part of the i.m.c festival..
it was a fantastic gig with a very strong line up that played everything from jazz to funk to accoustic and rock all the music was originals....i played a really solid set of all my own songs and the crowed f ucking loved it....

the best part is that due to this one show i managed to land a support slot playing in the "clay centre" (900 seater arts center) in june....

so what do you say rick ashley(i hope you know who that is).....
am i not a solo musician....

You should have started out to the effect of "I can't stand it when SOME musicians that are solo acts...." That way you don't alienate the entire population in about 3 seconds flat.

I feel a need to apologize for my rude outburst. Not to the poster but to the other forum members here. His reply to Irminsul set me off for some reason even though I know Irminsul is more than capable of taking care of trolls like this himself. Some times your the fisherman and sometimes your the fish and in this case I was the fish last night in replying the way I did to this thread. I don't have a problem with hip hop just the hip-hopper in this case. Sorry!
