Vamp - You make some good points. Maybe I'm a little more optimistic about it...

I think Comey and McCabe have both been politically compromised. As far as the rest, same as any police department, you have a few bad apples here and there but in general I think the majority are there to do their best.

The FBI does have a rather sordid past, we may never know just what all J Edgar Hoover was up to. But I still think in general the rank and file are decent, honest guys just trying to do their jobs.

In this case I've seen plenty theories, I think the most likely one is that something in Weiner/Huma's emails was serious enough Comey was looking at a wide scale revolt in the rank and file if he didn't do something. One thing I'm sure of, for him to turn this around and reopen it there has to be something there, I seriously doubt he would defy the order from Lynch to stand down otherwise.

We don't know what it is yet, and it may be highly classified enough we never will, but I'm guessing they found something big enough to put some serious pressure on Comey to get it opened up again. Comey has helped the Clintons out of scrapes before, he's known them for a long time, and probably wanted this to all just go away, he wouldn't reopen it on a whim. Especially when it brings more attention to Hillary's corruption, which he's gone out of his way to sweep under the rug.

RG ... excellent. JookeyMan makes a good point about the "VP" of The Hag and in light of her "fitness to serve" he ay well step into her shoes and pant suit sooner than anyone realizes. I hope in this case RUI is correct about the Truth, and what is good, triumphing in the end.

PaleoPete I thank you for your taking the time to address my words. I do agree with what you stated about the Police ... I think that in general they and the Military are much more "awake" than others since for one big reason they both are quite literally on the Front Line and in constant and growing danger. For me the Military is the one hope devoid and regardless of "the election". George Washington was a General as were many others who served in Political Office in the history of the Nation. Being in the Military has always been an accepted and honourable Career ... Politics has not. The Founding Father's never intended to have in political office those who would make a career of being a politician.

We have all seen now firsthand what happens when "politicians" become fulltime political whatever. Look at the state of the country and remember that for the past 30 years the Hag had direct input in making the nation what it is today. Some record of experience there.

Can you say Smoke Screen, Diversion, Perversion and Election ? Releasing purged emails is of no value excepting "proving" the "innocence" of The Hag. Why does she pretend to not know what is on the emails after she spent two years sledgehammering computers and giving them acid baths which in itself is an admission of guilt.

The ABC/Washington Post tracking poll was conducted from Tuesday to Friday, which means the survey’s 1,781 respondents could only be asked on the final day about the revelations regarding the new emails.

Still, the poll found 34 percent of the respondents were “less likely” to vote for Clinton and that she now leads Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump by just a single percentage point, 46-to-45 percent, in a four-way White House race, with Election Day on Nov. 8.

Ted - I noticed that too, a few months ago they were hailing Comey as a great guy doing the right thing, their best buddy it sounded like. Now he's the enemy, trying to torpedo poor little Hillary's campaign, they're even blaming him for it.

Typical of course, and we've seen it before, as Jook pointed out. You can see the same duplicity in other cases too. The big stink about some comments Trump made a decade ago, while ignoring the fact that Hillary did everything she could to destroy the women who accused Bill of outright rape, he even paid one of them over $800,000 to keep quiet. Doesn't sound like someone who is innocent to me.

Then there's the accusation that Trump didn't pay taxes for 20 years, which was an accusation not based on fact, while Bill and Hillary used the exact same clause in the tax code to defer $700,000 Net Operating Loss last year. Warren Buffet did the same, so did a number of Hillary's donors. They didn't notice that.

This is the way the Clintons do things. Lie, lie to cover up the lie, lie some more, then if it comes back to haunt them, blame someone else. They'll throw anyone under the bus, looks like they might have just thrown Huma under the bus.

Same thing happened not long ago when they threw a fit because Republicans blocked the confirmation of a supreme court appointee. Democrats did the exact same thing just a few years ago, it was just fine then. Not so when Republicans take the exact same action.

I still don't trust Comey, I think he's been politically compromised, I can only guess but I think he was probably pressured into this by a lot of FBI people who have worked on the email case for a long time, and were not happy when he dropped the ball this summer. I think there might also be a chance of another scenario. Bill and Hillary started pressuring him, and he knows their reputation for destroying people, so he decided it was time to turn the tables when he got this gift of Weiner's computer dropped in his lap.

Is it possible Bill and Hill finally pushed the wrong guy? Or did the rank and file FBI push him with a stack of resignations? Even his wife has been pushing him to do an about face. I've been reading article after article about this, he's been under a lot of serious pressure since this summer, a lot of people in the FBI were not happy, including his wife...

I can't let Republicans off the hook either, they were bashing Comey like crazy when he announced no indictment for Hillary, now they are doing an about face too, pretty much the same thing. Then again I don't have a very high opinion of most Republicans to begin with. They've had their chance to run things too over the past 50 years and haven't done a much better job of fixing this country's problems than Clinton or Obama.

I guess we'll have to wait and see, but one thing I can't ignore, for Comey to come out with this, it seems to me they have to already know they have something big, or this announcement would be the final nail in his career coffin.
