quite impressive...a year later and you're still trying to field a team by asking people who might happen to stumble onto this thread to contact you!!!!

well, as long as that "method of band making works for you".

me, i wouldn't waste a minute considering or investigating a situation where someone was playing 007 and not forthcoming w info about themselves. sorry, but my bullshit detector's meter spikes into the red when anyone looking to attract quality musicians sees the need to play secret agent.

Ted - always the same barbs thrown out. Pay attention, this is the 2nd time this guy has been here and gone through the same stuff, we have all patiently tried to explain that there are very few people coming to this forum, yet he persists in thinking this is how to get people to join him.

Stop acting like one of us doesn't know what they're talking about, and I'll stop having to prove that it's you.

Though I don't keep up with every post, I've seen this person attempting to find band members without paying for the service. How much he wants to disclose about himself is his business. He has told you who to call if you want more details and there's no good reason for him to waste time on people who aren't willing to do that.

And if this is just another grand illusion from another novice then what's the harm? He's no different than the majority of "musicians" on bandmix.

If you think posting on this forum is going to garner tons of contacts - which is what he thinks - then go ahead and join up with his 'band'.

I have a band when I need one, and haven't seen that caliber of musician on these forums anyway. He hasn't found that out yet.

I've been here since 2011 looking for serious discussion with other professional musicians about topics a career artist would have.... but what I mostly get instead are people who have no skins of the wall acting like they know something. Gave up trying to meet serious professionals here a long time ago, and now just try to encourage those who are at least trying to be.

The guy showed some creativity with a fast recording to answer the bandmix critics challenge. He has given you the name of a manager helping him through the process to call for more details.

The joker here does not seem to be him. Maybe you could learn something?

Ted you are so full of self-righteous 'better than anyone' sh*t, I'm surprised your head doesn't explode.

The fact that we were all trying to help this guy by explaining that posting peoples' profile names in a thread in a forum that has about a dozen regular users isn't going to help him seems to elude your grandiose mentality.
Since you have already dismissed everyone in this forum as not being to your "professional" standards, why not stick to the 'general chat(non music)' section of the forum instead of constantly coming back here to flash your self-acclaimed prowess?

Save your sanctimony for the tourists who don't know any better.

You jump on every newbie like a shark to blood, as if you need someone to look down on. If you think he's a stupid poser, don't "help" him. It's that simple.

He posted the names of people he thought were talented. Didn't see him acting like his life depended on these people getting back to him, but then he got that condescending "you don't get it" arrogance out of you. The guy has kept his enthusiasm through all the acrimony he's getting for trying. It's funny how worked up you've gotten about it.

Ted - once again, you show that you really don't know what you're talking about in this situation - why don't YOU "not help"?

Ready for new talent. I need vocalese asap for my new project. Call now to get yourself out there in Memphis, TN and the tri state area. New music this week plus pics and vids. As for the drama...we'll end it like this...

I'm aware of this forum and its users. I've also worked with musicians before so I know how to get the ones I need. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can handle critics and trolls. I'm focused on progression not suggestion. Biz as usual.

I hope that clears up any misconception. I'm done engaging the foolishness. Say whatever but it won't change me or my plans.

Because I don't like bullies

.

And I don't like blowhard 'know-it-alls'. Guess we're even, ecept that nothing Mark or I or anyone ever did with this 'ready' guy was "bullying" - we gave him suggestions, told him why posting in this forum ("HIS FORUM" per his words) was not what he thought it was or would produce the results he wanted. But he wouldn't listen. What help have you given him except to tell him not to listen to us?

Yes. Its starting to get a little too personal and not proffesional. Yod is right about your reputation on BM. You're no more than a troll in the big picture. Every sites got one and you happen to be sadder than most. I mean, what is it all for in the end? I'm still getting the players I need when and how I need them. I said I wouldn't engage, so consider this an address...Your a loser and its more odvious with each petty comment. Move on to the next "newbie"

@yod
Thank you for at least attempting to bring some professionalism to the table. Your may be right about the caliber of musicians, but I have to give a shot to someone here who really needs it. Our craft is motivational, so we need new opportunities to make us better. You proved your point...and well I might add.

My only 'reputation' here is between you and ted. Take a look back at your original threads (what you called 'forums') and how we all were trying to help you with advice, yet you kept doing and saying the same thing and ignoring what we ALL (not just me) were telling you.

If you were 'still getting the players you need' why are you advertising for people to contact you? If what you were doing to find people was working, then you'd be all set, no?

Memphis...you're nothing more than a drive-by tourist here. You've put your qualifications to front, or even PUT a band together in serious doubt among the experienced musicians who frequent this site.

Even less impressive are your qualifications to weigh in on Mike's, or anyone else's "reputation" or contributions to this site, as your participation here has been limited to advertising for players on a site that's frequented by perhaps a dozen musicians...none anywhere close to you, and just as likely none "ready" to work with someone who won't share even the most basic info about themselves.

Mike is one the good guys here who regularly weighs in on music, equip, and politics. And one who is quick to extend a helping hand and put out the welcome mat for newbies.

What have YOU contributed to this site? What's YOUR reputation here? And how does that make you appear to any possible future bandmates who might stumble upon yet another thread (NOT "forum") of your's where you've $hit the bed yet again?

As you've shown yourself to unclear on how to achieve your goal of putting a band together, Mike and others tried to give you some helpful advice....it matters not whether you asked for that advice or not....it WAS given w good intentions. And how did you rcv it??? ...like a petulant little child who believes he knows better and has all the answers.

I've experienced their ire about things they presume to know, but don't. Still....I publicly apologize to Mike because your method can be annoying.

No one knows for sure whether your a serious artist or not. You seem inexperienced (not a crime) but I don't want to see your enthusiasm dashed by negativity, so I'm giving you the benefit of doubt because it is plausible that you have something going; and there is no reason to broadcast the details publicly in a forum to anyone who isn't interested in checking it out.

Yet these guys have made some valid points. You'd get better response if you listened to them, but probably not by much. This forum doesn't attract people looking for players much...it's more about old farts bitching with a few musical challenges along the way.

You seem to be scatter-shooting at the lurkers. Hope that works for ya.

Thanks. Its working just fine. I get to pull in real talent and not just renting egos. Great set last Friday by the way guys. We'll be jamming again soon. Keep inboxing me, I'm gonna get every spot filled plus have back ups ready. I'll keep things productive that way. I won't be responding to the critics for a while to keep them in their place. New pics and music too. I love winning.

Prove it. Where did this 'talent' come from? Your posts in this thread? Doubt it.

Oh, and that's why you're responding to a "rap lyricist/vocalist" in Florida looking for a collaborator?
