Planetguy wrote:Dayne.....it's one excuse after another w you, and you keep changing your story.

First you vehemently deny that you were out of tune in the face of others telling you otherwise.

Next you claim it was intentional dissonance that the rest of us aren't sophisticated and developed enough to appreciate.

And now....you're saying yes your guitar WAS out of tune, but only cos you used a fauly pitch pipe?????

Good gawd, man! Pick a story and stick to it.....or further present yourself to be dishonest. Whatev.
dude, just so you get the satisfaction that you are ALWAYS RIGHT AND OTHERS ARE ALWAYS WRONG I am going/playing along with you to see how dishonest you can become, to see how you can out-do yourself in that dept. time after time...r

the only question about right and wrong.....is why you think it's OK to lie and play fast and loose with the truth.

just so we're all clear on your latest story.....so, NOW you ARE admitting your gtr was outta tune???? uh, er due to a possibly faulty pitch pipe?

THAT'S the story you're going w now? cos, it's hard to keep up w the many ways you've tried to spin this.

it's ironic you bring up who's "ALWAYS RIGHT AND OTHERS ARE ALWAYS WRONG" because that's really what this whole thing is about. isn't it? YOUR need to be "right".

you begged for a critique of your song......and then you were unable to handle someone nicely and politely telling you your gtrs are out of tune.

that's the whole thing right there isn't it? and if you didn't believe me and refused to accept that...then you heard it from others.

who else in that situation is going to continue to argue the point but you?????

how many people did you need to tell you the very same thing???? no matter...you'd already made your bed and that's that. you weren't going to back down and now it's STILL being debated?????

shame on you dayne. that's some seriously embarrassing little boy $hit right there, when all you had to do was man up and take the "critique" as it was intended....an OBSERVATION.

but instead, you had to make it out like i was ATTACKING you.... and everyone else was ATTACKING you as well.

think about that.

i've been inviting to you my gigs as long as we've known one another.......and now, FOR THIS you're gonna make the drive???

reality check time!

i don't know what restaurant gigs you've ever played or have been at where other bands are being paid to perform.....but that's not the kind of silliness that goes on at any gigs that i play.

i have no desire to spend any time working up that piece of your's. you claimed to find the chord progression to BM Project 3 unpleasant? Well, multiply that by 100 and that's roughly how "pleasant" i found your piece to listen to.

then again....i suppose w the gtrs IN TUNE...it would be more listenable to ears that are bugged by out of tune gtrs.

BTW: if you were being honest about really wanting to make the drive, i'll be playing in Columbia tonight and that'd less of a drive for you than you driving to Fulton. can you make a 6:30 downbeat?

Dayne Nobody IV wrote:I tuned each note to the pitch pipe, if the reeds on the pitch pipe are dysfunctional I might be able to understand it, but as far as having some brain deficiency a medical condition, that is utter hogwash..

If that's the case, and the pitch pipe is accurate (and you heard it accurately and adjusted accurately), then it could still be a matter of the intonation of the guitar - as I posted before - tuning open strings usually leaves a couple of the strings off when you are playing fretted notes.
