perhaps too many pulloffs is how you damaged your hand.... thankfully it didn't affect your vision! :)

most grown ups know that speed means nothing when you're telling a story! :wink:

like i said...most grown ups figure out at some point that speed isn't an important factor when someone is speaking, or telling a story.

and if you buy into the notion that music is a language..... :wink:

Jim Hall is on my short list of gtr greats (as is the case for many who appreciate great jazz gtr playing). Scofield, Metheny, and many other contemporary gtrsts on the scene sing his praises as well and cite him as a huge influence.

Hall COULD play fast....he just preferred not to most of the time. And he was an AMAZING storyteller.
