don't be talkin' sh*t about raising the minimum wage to 12 dollars an hour.. you know dam well that is stupidity at it's highest level.. there are people that are mentally challenged that don't deserve 6 dollars an hour, yes, if you want to enact some sort of social program to place these mentally challenged people into "get-well" centers trying to enhance their intelligence with them paying some sort of reasonable TUITION to attend to compensate the tax-payers paying for a social program then I could live with that.. just don't try to convince me everybody was created equal, and therefore everybody deserves 12 dollars an hour.. now you old bird go fly with the other old birds back to the trees..LOL :)

CEO's are way overpaid too.. just look at a comparison chart comparing a CEO in Japan what he/she makes compared to a U.S. based CEO.. I believe in the Japan model wholly..but why would you REQUIRE somebody be paid $15.00 an hour when in reality they might not be worth $6.00 an hour? it is kinda like the stupid laws in place to protect dead-beat renters and landlords have to give the dead-beats 3 months to evict..,if I have a dead-beat employee I don't want to pay him 15$ an hour I want to either improve him to make him worth the wage I am paying to him/her or I want to get rid of fast as I can.. if you can't afford to live in high cost of living places like San Francisco and Manhattan move to the rural areas where you can compete better through natural selection a Darwinian law I believe.. LOL :D

Is that why you live in Nowhere? Or is it Half-Way to Nowhere?

Seriously Dayne, if there weren't laws to force these companies to pay you decently they wouldn't! If labor unions hadn't fought for 40-hour work weeks and decent wages we wouldn't have them. Clinton moderated her platform to be more inclusive of the Bernie Bros, but that's no crime. That makes her smart. :D
maybe they want to have their cake and eat it too mentality, I would love to live in San Francisco or West Palm Beach, but common sense tells me I would not be able to afford it, maybe if enough McDonalds workers bitching about not being paid enough would simply move to an affordable area of living, then the reduction in available low-skill workers would be enough for employers to increase the wages via natural selection, a Darwinian law I believe that many non-believers wholly believe in.. :)

that was one issue I did not agree with concerning Bernie .. I did like his ideas about wage parity, but increasing the minimum wage to make it even? no.. loved his free college plan, his environmental policies are needed even if it will cause the cost of gasoline and electricity to spike.. my electricity is subsidized anyhow since I live on a electric co-op that helps the local farmer neighbors out a bunch and I ride on their shirt-tails.. gasoline I use seldom since I go to town to get supplies once every 7-10 days, and seldom go to auctions anymore since the tv programs brought the newbie nuts with their smart phones looking up prices of auction items out to ruin the market.,. every Sunday I hit the swap meet since it has not been effected as much by the stupid tv programs that said there was a fortune to be made out of storage unit auctions..azzholes..

But even 30 hours at 7.25 an hour is not much, certainly not enough to pay rent, buy food or support a child. Even $15 an hour is still poverty level. Meanwhile, the top 1% is making windfall, obscene amounts. I find it hard to believe that you were a supporter of Bernie.

Thats because NO
company wants to be forced to pay into a health care system that has doubled in price with half the benefits. You have no concept of economics AT ALL. You have been surviving off the tit of BIG GOVERNMENT. Saved your house, saved your marriage, saved your asss.

I WAS ONE THAT PAID INTO A GOVERNMENT, THAT HELPED YOU.
VERY FUNNY.

Notice I didn't come out and call you a stupid , worthless , liar, OR whatever insult is the choice of the day.

You should give PG a call to re-group.

Actually raising the minimum wage is stupid.
It increases prices and that causes customers not to purchase a lot of things, especially fast food. It also causes small business owners to fire people that need the work, just because they can't afford to keep them. However, that would stop the cluster gab at drive through fast food establishments. A minimum wage job is supposed to be an entry level job, not a career move. Minimum wage jobs are good for people who need a little extra income. When minimum wage goes up the cost of living goes up and pretty soon the people making a minimum wage career find that they are back where they started, not being able to afford the increased cost of living that the wage hike caused. gui can't figure that out.
