Over my life time I figure I have paid in to support our society around 900 thousand in taxes.
No big deal. I'm not even counting the hidden taxes that contribute to higher prices being passed on to consumers, including the poorest and even the ones on societal support.

That's as far as I want to go explaining it to anyone that believes social redistribution is a good thing.
