Strat's rule but man I wish I had a Tele... Going to make that a line in a song...

Strats they do sound purty... oh that you can't deny
But I hope to get a Tele... least before I die
:P

You got any new tunes for me to check out... not that cover stuff I know you rock that I'm talking "your " tunes.
I listened to "Katie" today really good one!
You had some other tune about a girl can't remember the title was really good kind of slow tempo...

MO, Spectrum, George Duke all was in your face.
This is Billy C. all laid back. Must have torn a rotator cuff playing all of that crazy stuff!!

i guess you haven't heard any of BC's earlier straight ahead acoustic jazz stuff then. were our friend here, he'd no doubt have much enlightenment to shed on the subject.

if you can find any of it on youtube or elsewhere....he used to play w Horace Silver back in the 60's and I know he's on one side of the "Psychedelic Sally" album ( my fave HS album) and he sounds great.

but that '70's room full of drums, 85 tom toms, and 32nd note bombast was what turned me off to most of the Mahavishnu Stuff! :?

Me to Jahva, I REALLY want a Tele! Haven't had time to write anything new in over a year. I went thru a divorce late last year. Trust me when I say got a lot of ideas from that experience lol! Seriously though I buried myself in cover bands and have been making really descent $ doing that. I'll post some older stuff from a cd a band I played in recorded back in the 90's that band really should have made it to the big time! Super talented players! Everyone in the band was a lead singer and the vocal harmonies were of the highest quality. Egos destroyed it basically from frustration of having bad management......well that and a couple of over the top selfish assholes!

Sorry to hear that D-word man... but I hear it's going around. And half of us seem to catch it...
Been through it and lived to tell about it... brought me lots of lyric ideas and I'm still milking it for what it's worth.

As for the covers... least you're out doing something probably finding a little hook-up along the way... (chicks still dig the lead git,,, right?) 8) which is better than nothing.
Would love to hear the CD tunes.. let me know when you post em!

One thing I've noticed over the years... A Rock band is never in short of supply of Alphas!
