Displaced Pianist wanted to know, so I told him straight up.. did you prefer I sugar coat it? ..I was asked, and I politely answered to the best of my ability and honesty, if and that's a big if they are reading these boards, and don't like it, they can reprimand me, or even fire me .. at 60-1/2 years old I should have just hung it up like any normal old person nearing retirement, anyhow LOL... ..

Congratulations. It sounds like more org is needed but the bottom line is there - you like the guys and they are good. All that other stuff comes together (often) when your playable song list increases. That seems to help with the merge of talents more than any chatter.

thanks Mike, I promise, I am gonna shut up about it, but you can bet, if and when we can hold it together, I will beg borrow or steal a video camera to shoot some footage of us playing out somewhere, even if it's at the old folks home..

I meant - do they know you discuss this stuff on this forum in this much detail? Could be fine for some folks, others..... get ready to fight or run. I would say, bring the recorder and tell them you just want to record the session because it helps you to listen all week. You can play along with it, just play it till you pick up every nuance of every individual players part coming together. They gotta be cool with that. As far as posting songs from rehearsal for every one on the internet (Google and Yahoo bots included) I would say no. Get a drop box account. The first 2 something or other gigs or mgs or whatever are free. That way, you can share the code to the track with people on here without letting it out into the entire WWW.

Exactly. Anyone who can't take criticism to help improve probably WON'T improve. And face it - how many people even know about these forums anyway?
