Glen ... Ta for the Post. We have been going through the "Parvo" thing with some of our dogs ...up all night maintaining IV's and that sort of thing. One Puppy died but today the first one to get dick pulled through and noe he is off the IV. This whole thing has dominated my time and energy the past few days.

Thanks Glen ... yesterday two of the male pups were taken off the drips and now are on medicated tinned food. They will be on meds for 5 days but it looks like they will make recovery. It was not that long ago that Parvo was a certain Death Sentence. It was the third male that died in my arms. There are two females who tonight remain on the drips. It takes 3 to 7 days in the drip 24 hours a day to depending upon the condition to recover. There were another 3 pups that we gave to the girl who works for us and her Sister and Mother ... luckily that was before any Parvo so they are fine. The Vet said every year in Mexico there are a million dogs who die from Parvo. It is very contagious and steps have to be taken to eradicate it ... as it is airborne as well as being in and on the ground. Their Mother "Obelisk" was vaccinated but their Father "Spartan" has not been. Consequently we I must keep them all separated. O have been up nearly all nights and days for the last week so it is challenging but finally some have pulled through.
