As usual, obama on the wrong side by supporting Islamist Authoritarian leader and against those who are on our side. What would you expect?

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (Ret.) blasted President Barack Obama Friday for siding with Turkey’s Islamist fundamentalist authoritarian president following an attempted military coup in the country.

In a statement, Obama urged all sides in Turkey to side with democratically-elected President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but Peters thinks the commander in chief should have just kept his mouth shut, because the people staging this coup are on our side.

Perhaps so but you and I are both simply bystanders with opinions concerning what we have heard. Neither of us are on the inside and neither of us have information on what lies behind closed doors.
However I believe that military man before I'd believe obama, who incidentally is, in my opinion, always fund on the wrong side of any issue. .

Yes. So you are saying " the top commanders are APPOINTED to their positions by the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF" = but then their opinions are JUST THE OPPOSITE because the commander and chief appointed them, as in this case? By the way, he is a retired officer. Did you read the article? Hey, rule of thumb: Whatever obama says is always just the opposite of truth, for the truth is not in him.

How could you even believe the slightest thing from their information sources, they would be just as Pravda is here, prepared propaganda, nothing more. Sorry but you are not there and as you feel this military mans appraisal of the situation is invalid, I would say yours is just as or more invalid. .My post was about what Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, a military officer, had to say.

Like it or not, the two of us are simply made up screen names sitting comfortably in America typing opinions on a keyboard behind closed doors with no direct access to the war rooms of those involved.. Your opinion is no more valid than mine, and your actual experience on the ground assessing these things in Turkey is no more valid than mine. Simple as that, isn't it?

I believe that to be complete utter nonsense and a flawed opinion from a seal with personal opinions just as you and I have. Simply another mans opinion. I think that spraying them from the air with pigs blood (No insult intended towards piggy, Glen) might be just as effective. Heard it all before: "Destroy Christ and this will all go away."

Any dedicated muslim who follows the quran will continue jihad. This is a religious war not a secular war. Therefore they sincerely believe in what they are doing. The only thing that stops islamic terrorists is having them look up at the grass from the root side. They will never integrate or change in any way as Sharia law world wide is their goal and they wish the destruction of the civilized world in order to bring back their imam.
If it were as simple destroying all the brick and clay buildings in a city it would have been demolished long ago. Or aren't there any as wise who have been fighting islam for thousands of years, no not one? Any religious zealot will make an excuse when something he believes will never happen happens. "It must have been gods will". No one understands the things of God. They will still believe in the Quran and its dictate. Only when the evil one establishes a one world religion will they believe otherwise.
Destroy the world around me and I will still believe in my God and some of them are even more dedicated to their god.

We will have to disagree on this one. You and your opinion, me and Lt. Col. Ralph Peters opinion. I found what he said to be interesting thus the post. Considering the fact that, obama is never stand on the right side of anything, to me that fact alone gives Lt. Col. Ralph Peters credibility with me.

You're missing a rather big component of this and this ain't been happening for thousands of years...There is fighting at an airbase in Turkey where the USA foolishly holds somewhere between 50 and 100 nuclear bombs.

We are sticking our nose where it don't belong because of all the globalist sentiment expressed by the few that are looking to control the far many more than the measly 330 million Americans.
Mike, you bring up some good points.
Looking at the whole global issue is going to take some very intelligent thought. Mike you just put that in perspective.
