it was recently brush-hogged with a walk-behind Craftsman string trimmer..the one i showed you all that I replaced the mow-ball on..works like a champ and the deer are grateful getting tender morsels of new sprouting vegetation..my 5.25 acres has become sort of a refuge for them since I sold my bush-hog and 8N Ford..man it's work operating that walk-behind string trimmer,

when I first moved here in 1992, I thought this land (at least on my twin brother's dry-run "creek") land across the road, could make a great sweet corn patch and it would be my first cash crop.. so I run out and spend $2400.00 on an 8N another 200.00 on a 2/14" moldboard plow, forget how much on a Long branded PTO drive 3-point roto tiller, along with a disc, and that bush-hog, probably looking in the eyes of the locals like Oliver Wendell Douglas.. trying to put a crop of sweet corn onto sod that probably ain't been polwed since the Civil War era Southern Missourians moved to Texas.. in the 1860's..even though got the corn in, and it produced a crop, did not know about the worms that eat out the nubben on end of the ear of corn, basically ruining any re-sale value, nobody's buying an ear of corn with a worm on the end of it even if the ear is good to eat..sprayed insecticide when it was first coming up but it did not stop the worms later in the season..now I'm stuck with equipment and my brother now decides he will fence it and run cattle..the next year..now I'm stuck, luckily most of the equipment was bought used, a lesson learned from dear old dad..

and now I'm wanting to start a purebred Berkshire hog breeding facility..go figure.. Berkshires bring a premium because of the posh Los Angeles and New York restaurants that only serve Berkshire pork.. trouble is Berkshires are a rare breed in today's world.. once common in the 1800's..I'm having trouble finding one with papers :D

I like pigs. They taste good and they can be so much fun.
We went fishing yesterday and the first mate told us about the time some 300lb POT BELLY burst into his backyard BBQ.
Way to funny...
The owner did track down their sow. A couple streets away. I guess the owner came down and yelled at piggy and the big pig dutifully followed her home.
That's not the whole story but I hope you can get the crux of the story. The first mate in this story said he was actually frightened by the strength of this piggy. Then this little woman comes in and starts yelling at her piggy for being such a bad girl.
