I started to include a comment about this same paid protester being spotted at San Jose, but didn't have a link handy and didn't really have time to go looking for the story. I read about it, but didn't want to go digging through the news articles to find it again.
This is going to get ugly, especially if more police departments take the San Jose route instead of the San Diego route. It can be stopped, or at least minimized, with a little intelligent planning.
These same paid protesters are the ones who started the burning and looting in Ferguson last summer, the riots in Baltimore, tried it in New York but it didn't go as far. I remember seeing a news article a couple of weeks after Ferguson saying that some of them were unhappy that they hadn't been paid. I saw the same thing though, professionally printed signs, lots of people with their faces hidden, plenty bottles and rocks thrown, fires set...Most likely the same groups, move on, occupy etc, all paid for by Soros money.
It will only help Trump.
Ted - I know you don't like Trump, and I won't even think about throwing insults around or doing any name calling, childish nonsense. But I do hope you can check out some of his more serious interviews, check out the interview with his long time butler, the man who he was in military academy with...he related how he was the smallest in the class and Trump wouldn't let the others pick on him. He said they found out soon when Trump said leave him alone, he meant it.
When he built his golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, he found out it was under regulations and restrictions none of the other courses were under, and found out it was because he allowed blacks and jews there. He filed suit, fought the city, and finally won. Blacks and Jews are still welcome as members.
A family had a kid about 4 years old with a serious medical problem, in California I think but not sure. He needed to go to a hospital in Georgia, none of the commercial airlines would touch it. they didn't want the oxygen tent, nurses and various medical equipment scaring their other passengers. Someone called Trump, he had his own plane there the same day, got the boy to the hospital and refused to charge them a cent.
There is also an unconfirmed story about a couple who stopped one night to help when his limo broke down, the story says he paid off their mortgage the next day. Sounds like something he would do, but unconfirmed.
According to his butler, he would come to his Mar A Lago estate in Florida and at times if he liked the way the grounds looked, he would walk around and give each of the grounds keepers a $100 bill. He also said everybody in the place loved their jobs.
Why do you think the media hasn't trotted out a dozen former or present Trump employees saying what a horrible, jerk of a boss he is? They can't find any. They have been looking, you can bet on that, the media hates Trump. All of the employees I've seen interviewed, the very few anyway, have said exactly the opposite.
The people who were at his security meeting at the White House who have said anything about it said he was quite a different person than the one you see in the media doing campaign rallies. Serious and attentive, listened, and asked plenty questions, smart well thought out ones according to what I read. Same as the Trump I've seen in a couple of serious interviews. He didn't build a multi billion dollar business by acting like a jerk all the time. I'm willing to bet he plans on doing just what he did with his business, surrounding himself with the best he can find, listening to what they say, then making up his own mind. And he has a very good instinct for how to get things done, on time, without costing a fortune. Look up the story about the New York Ice skating rink. Perfect example. Two months early and $750,000 under budget, and he'd never even thought about building an ice skating rink. It's still working great. I want our government run like that.
How many people in our government have even attempted to tackle a project like a 50 story building? Concrete, steel, plumbing, wiring, sheetrock, flooring, windows and doors and more. All that has to be coordinated. Payroll has to be met for hundreds of employees every week through a several year long project. A woman was in the #2 position in charge of building Trump Tower. And how many politicians have ever finished anything on time and below budget? Trump has been doing it for 40 years. The lawyers and politicians currently running things had their chance, where did it get us? They won't fix it either. How long has it been since they came up with a balanced budget or didn't increase the national debt? Every president since LBJ has left this country deeper in debt. Obama never had a budget at all until the one in 2013 that got the government shut down. And in typical form, he blamed it on Republicans, same as always, when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid actually shut things down by killing the budget without a senate vote. Before he lost that position he did that over 380 times, which is why we had a do nothing Congress. Most likely on Obama's orders. Think Trump would do things that way? I doubt it.
I don't have any worries about him being a tyrant or becoming a dictator, he doesn't run his business that way, he won't run the government that way. He believes in competence and intelligence. If you don't perform, you're gone. That's why politicians are scared to death, they know it, and they know he won't tolerate their incompetence. They see their little gravy train growing wings. Ted Cruz rocked the boat. They hate him. Trump flipped it over and threw away the paddles.
Someone who is not a politician or a lawyer, has the business sense to know you can't spend more than you make, and the backbone to stand up to the business as usual politicians is exactly what I've been hoping to see for 30 years. I never thought that would be Trump, but I'll take it.
No, I don't like some of the things he's said, I'm not totally on board with some of his policy ideas, but if we get another politician, no matter what his or her name is, or what political party he or she belongs to, this country is toast. Trump is taking a risk, but it's a risk worth taking. He doesn't let out a lot of policy specifics for a reason. You never broadcast your battle plans in advance to the enemy. And in his case, Congress is the enemy and he knows it. So I'll live with a sparse policy platform. Ditto for foreign policy, if he lets too much out, much more dangerous enemies in the middle east know what to expect. I wouldn't be surprised to see him let out a couple of red herrings to throw them off track.
I don't see any other choice, another politician is the end of this country. The only difference between Bernie and Hillary is Bernie will kill the economy quicker. Trump is the only one who is not a politician. He has his faults, but what politician doesn't? I see more positive than I do negative, I'll take it.
