say you are 70 years old, you worked your whole life, you paid in to the system a sizable part of your paycheck for 50 years, now you want your money back in the form of a monthly social security check, especially since you are now basically stoved up with arthritis from job related wear & tear your whole working career, but suddenly, Presidente Cruz wants to revert back to a Hoover type scenario, where according to Hoover, "they will take care of their own" greed is again now prominent, and now Uncle Sam has more money to give to defense contractors for "miracle weaponry" and give funding monetary aid in the 100's of billions of dollars to Saudis and the like , to "stablize" the mideast to keep the peace..
could it be possible some Republicans could be that cruel as to try by "law" to do away with social securit? and with the legislature , & executive branch of government now in their hands it would be entirely possible to eliminate social security even if it was against the will of the people who voted these monsters in the first place..

SS was never supposed to be how every individual sustained themselves at the end of life. It was designed and created as a supplement for the poorest people who needed help. Guess we didn't count on every person in America being so economically distressed today?

The problem isn't Cruz or anyone else who guts this thing. It's the people (mostly Democrats but with willing accomplices in the GOP) who have been gutting it since inception.

Are we talking about the greatest PONZI scheme ever. Didn't they put some guy in jail for the rest of his life for doing the same thing... Same old shiit. You can NOT have a republic with stable laws if there are "EXCEPTIONS".
