I love it! Listening to that and your last upload back to back has inspired me to upload this. I don't have the stereo mix yet and I want to add organ to it, but it sounds pretty cool like this.

That's me on the crumbly guitar (EHX Germanium 4 Big Muff) and bass with my little thunder pickup. I need to work on getting the signal directly into the mixer. I can boost the bass once I've mixed it for stereo. The other guitarist has so much bass coming from his Black star combo when he plays clean that I enjoy it without bass guitar added. I'm also playing through his Marshall head (big tube amp) and my 4x12 so I'm playing a lot louder than I'm accustomed to (without the squealing feedback of my cheapo Marshall head). Pretty cool jamz. 8)

And here's another one. From about a month ago. Adam came up with this looped song on guitar and several parts to overlap on top.
I played drums (the slow beat with the clanking ride cymbal and the other slow part). He asked if he could play drums on it. Hey, sure! He came in with the fast hi-hat stuff and I mixed the three different parts together so me that you can't tell where one ends and another begins.
I love this track and it's definitely one of my favorite projects I've worked on.

Those melodies are freaking crazy man.

*oh yeah, I just remembered I added every effect available on Audacity to one channel of this track. Gives it a pretty wild stereo image.

I'll get to your stuff later today. I'm running late for work. If you put EVERY effect in your software on a track, you win (hands down). I'm not THAT crazy!! :D

Well, it is one effect at a time!

Jooks got a NOLA wobble to his groove!

Mr. Schemd ... you used ALL of Audacity's effects on one channel?
You need more plugins for the other channel! :D

Sorry if you already knew this, but you can get scads of VST effects plugins for free to use in Audacity.

You do need an audio interface with VST capability though.

Here is one of a zillion sites to find them. http://bedroomproducersblog.com/free-vst-plugins/

That's right over my head. I'm finally working on music on a computer (a major hurdle for me) and I have no idea what that stuff is.

Trance or Dub?

OK.......

How about that guitar tone on the first one? Ever heard anything like that?

That's the Volts knob on the Big Muff pedal.. I've got it so squished that it's only drawing what little sustain it has from the EHX Cathedral reverb pedal. No compression added to the track post recording, though.
Thought you might find it interesting....

I borrowed a moogerfooger pedal from my drummer a while back. It was fun, but gets old fast.
I love my Boss Tremolo 2. Phaser. Flanger. Playing arpeggiated stuff with my Cathedral pedal switched to Hall Reverb. Volume pedals are a blast.
I have a $25 Danelectro Auto Wah mini pedal that's also a lot of fun to insert in front of a chain of pedals and see what sounds it triggers. Really cool on bass.

Finger tap? Yet another thing I don't do on guitar.
