This was quite fun. The fingerpicked guitar has counterpoint lines (A section). The B section revolves around the 5th.


Really nice! I played quickly with the chords last night on acoustic and didn't "feel" anything coming. May try something on piano to see if it sparks anything.
This afternoon I've got the songwriter circle, tomorrow Beatles band practice, so I need to put some more time into practicing the bass and harmony parts for that. Nice to be musically busy!

I f-ed around the progression last night, tried it with open b and E strings and came up with a nice sound, and a B and C section. Noodling around, I had another nice song going, too. So I pull out my folder of lyrics to see if any of them might work. nope, nope, not really. Realized that most of the lyrics that still remain in that pile are more rock/hard-sounding. Back to the lyric drawing board!
