Hey, username passforsure, do you really expect us to click that link? What's at the other end of that rainbow? A pot of gold?!

I wish I had that talent Bob. Most of my mood / inspiration comes as soon as I wake up, and if I don't record the concept in my head, like a dream, it's gone. I just can't remember - probably has something to do with getting ready for work that kills the mood. Anyways, that's awesome you can retain it. I'm good for my name, and occasionally my birthday. Beyond that, it's nothing short of a miracle

I "write" all of my songs in my head, music, lyrics, arrangements, the whole nine yards. Then I start learning those parts I can do: bass, vocals, harmonica. In a pro studio I have pro people add the other parts, or with a live band, the same idea, but the entire song, the rhythm and vocals is "done" in my head.
I know. It's different, but it works. I never write anything down on paper, even the lyrics. It's in my head.
