Dayne Nobody IV wrote:yes!! I am envious of Lee Ritenour, he is as you said, like a chameleon, whatever is called for guitar music wise he can emulate.. LOVE HIM!

If it wasn't for Lee Ritenour I would never have been turned on to Takanaka, Casiopea and Dave Grusin. Thanks for the reminder.

whenever I think of Grusin I think about the 1970's television show "Good Times" I think he wrote that score?.. also Grusin has played on some albums with Ritenour and Grusin's son has too

i like the way you mixed up your note length. some short....some long. too many bassists ignore that. and the tone was cool too....it speaks w/o being too muddy but still has some girth.

The crossover between jazz and blues is very blurred. Some tracks are impossible to pigeonhole - apart from saying they're jazz/blues. A walking bass is a walking bass, moving often 4 in the bar from one chord tone to the next appropriate chord tone, usually climbing up or down scale notes with chromatics when needed

you really like it that much? :D there was a dude that was on here a while back that was pleading for all of us here on the BandMix forum to write a tune and he even supplied lyrics.. the subject was about the plight of the homeless, he claimed he was a social worker and would look out his office window, crying his eyes out over them, and I actually spent a couple hours coming up with a decent vocal melody using his lyric and never heard a peep back from him.. I hate wasting time and energy.. :D

go for it jook, if it means that much to you, it was not me that created it anyhow, it was God working through my soul, and directing me every step of the way, without God us creatures are nothing.. :)

and you do know what Royal Court implies? don't ya? .. believe it or not, royal bloodlines are directly connected to the mind of God, a true royal courtesan, always judges fairly as God would here on earth.. I am not that big of fan of democracy, all we need is a true royal in tune with God making judgements and decisions as God would.. Jesus was God, he said a lot of things especially about the world is at odds withn the godly..his followers will look for a hole to hide their head but none will be given, they will be persecuted because they are not of this world.. if you use the tune, please remember

Well I dunno from social work, saving the whales, etc.--I just play the piano. Remember that old BASF ad? ('We don't make ______, we make _______ better...') That's what I try to do--make something a little better. Shoot me a chart, I'll do a track. If you like it, you can mix it. Cool?

gosh, I was hoping for somewhat more of a rebuttal for my comment on the value of rule by a monarch? I should have been rebuked all over the place.. anybody that believes the democracy currently in place in America actually is "for the people by the people", is insane as much as I am.. it does not work, just as the election process (electoral votes worth more than the popular vote) is flawed favoring one group of Americans over another group of Americans, and the emphasis is always to make it right for the rich people in America and punish the poor.. a king like Julius Caesar would enact the corn dole (Cura Annonae)to feed the poor Roman citizens and not bat an eye.. because he was just and lobbyists had no sway.. he did not have tolerate idiot politicians wanting to remove social security with the false impression it is an entitlement, when I paid thousands of dollars into social security the last 44 years I do not believe that qualifies as an "entitlement" it's my damn money!.. democracy is owned by the lobbyists and the rich 1%ers that control them with bribes and kickbacks.. that is not my idea how a government is "for the people by the people" :D :x :| :!:

Email is good (rather than posting it in an open forum, it's listed on my page). To quote an old Bill Murray (as the bass player visiting Mr. Roger's Neighborhood) routine, "Stamps?? I'll buy the goddam stamps!"
