the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Thank you for posting this, Ted!! A very beautiful piece that flipped my switch on!!
You need to record a whole CD of this live in Jerusalem!!
I would definitely buy a copy and spread the word about it.
Don't ruin it by putting it through Pro Tools. I like the 'live in the street' vibe on this. :D
Do it cheap w/ a Tascam and 2 - SM57s!!

They only did 3 songs and I got one take on them. We're planning for more when I bring them over in the summer to tour with them.

I'm sure you'll like the other two songs. In song #2, Jeremiah "borrowed" a chair from a coffee shop downstairs, where he is a regular customer. In the middle of the second song, the manager comes up with a scowl on his face and takes the chair away. The guys didn't even miss a beat, so it leaves the viewer wondering if that was planned?

They have a 2D version of that on YouTube

In the third song, Shai is singing her heart out, and a church (on the lower level) lets out, and people begin streaming up the stairs and out the door. Another woman goes to Jeremiah (drummer) and starts apologizing for the manager taking his chair and then goes to him another chair, which he doesn't need. All the while the band plays on without missing a beat. You can hear the ambient noise but it's actually kinda cool background sounds in the mall's reverb and doesn't interfere with their performance.

It seemed like a prophetic statement of how the church doesn't notice the cry of youth going on around it, and then there is one church lady who simply becomes a distraction to what is happening in reality.

yep...those little spontaneous "real life" moments that happen are the best! being "in the room" and "present" for them when they come to vist.

i often love those little moments in small restaurant setups where you're literally rubbing shoulders w the patrons and you get to have all this cool interaction w them. i was recently mugging it up w a young 5 yr old girl named angela....she was sitting at a nearby table w her folks. and of course she was just fascinated by it all. from my place behind the vibes...i could literally bop her on the noggin w my mallets which we got into pretending to do.... each time eliciting the most beautiful squeels of laughter from her and smiles and giggles from just about everyone there.

i like to think that we gave her a great gift and helped imprint upon her that music is FUN!

Here is song #2 "Blood Moon is the Prophecy" where the manager of the coffee shop downstairs comes up take Jeremiah's chair away in the middle of the song. This one will have a little more editing done to it.
