when the stats at the bottom of the page reveals the number of users online, does that mean for just the forum or does it mean for all of bandmix? .. maybe TheRant is on to something if it's 56 users for the whole BandMix website

Idk. I've always wondered about that. It changes down below, too. Right now it says I'm on here, plus 7 guests. If I go to another thread, all of the sudden it changes to me, plus a member or two, plus a number of guests.
I find it hard to believe that out of hundreds of thousands of members, that only a fraction of a percent are on the whole site, but it's possible.

I'm sure its just the forum. And if you took a few years to go through them all, you'd probably find that 90% of those 430000 profiles are 'dead' - have not been visited by the owner in years.

with 433, 000 users each paying $14.95 a month..hhhmmm.. let me get my calculator, (I,m doin' taxes today) = $6,473,350.00 revenue stream a MONTH! think I am going to buy some BandMix shares.. little overhead, rent a few servers to create "some" bandwidth.. sheeesh I am in the wrong line of work..

I used to be on this forum constantly years ago. There were many more people on here posting many more topics. We had a lot of heated arguments, for the most part cordial, some name calling. The number of people on here has dwindled substantially. Hard to say the reasons why. Maybe it's the explosion in the popularity of Facebook. Maybe the music biz sucks so bad these days, people getting disillusioned and quitting. Whatever the reason, it's nothing like the "good old days."

It had devolved to a lot of name calling and political sh!t-slinging. Now that's confined (more or less) over to the 'General Chat (Non-Music-Related)' section of the forum - that's where Vampier and Glenny post their crap.
Others, like NeanderPaul and Jahva (and I'm sure you can name more) have moved on.
