I've got to get back to fixing my version of this progression, too - seems I'm 6 months behind on polishing up tracks - basically the time I spent getting the last CD out.

Nah!!
YOUR take on my take was the best. I want to know one thing..........did you shift anything around after you combined those 2 tracks or did they fall right where you left them??
It doesn't really matter one way or another because it ended up great!!

let's just agree to disagree then! and we can BOTH send each other a check in the mail.

nothing shifted around w either the bass or vibes. they were both "plug and play" first takes.

I'm going back to that track soon and do some minimal fills w/ bass and percussion but it will be VERY minimal. I'm glad this thread popped up again. Now I won't have to hunt the progression down for 15 minutes!! I think the bass fills will be the 5ths I left out the first go round. Maybe a cowbell and a cowhorn thrown in for authenticity!! :D

i look fwd to hearing that. 8)

Thank you for enjoying one of my drum tracks. I am happy for you and your friend that you would take the time and enjoy playing along the basic 4/4 drum pattern. In the future if you are interested I can post some alternate time signatures with some brush work. Drums have always been one of my passions along with fast cars, world travel and collaboration of music production throughout the world of music. At this time in my life I am currently on a different door step know as Resort Manager. In the not too distant future I will be returning to Texas to start a new venture "Progressive Music Festivals" hummm.... Thank you again for the kind words.

Dayne Nobody IV wrote:you guys RGMIX and you are both good musicians, and I hope you two can get back on good terms..I wouldn't mind having RG as a drummer in a band I was in, as well as you playing guitar or bass, in a band.. I am pretty sure I have said stuff that has infuriated some here, but maybe because I am so "low-key" they just let it ride.. :)

not too long ago RG was following and tailgating every other post from vinny and jimmy, and calling them trolls.

w/o any rancor, name calling, or sabre ratting.... i politely and respectfully tried to point out to him the irony of those actions when in my opinion...that's what he was doing.

.....he lost his sh~t and that 's what prompted his 3rd grade level insults about gay this, gay that. meh. whatever.

it's odd, but I presume we all get gut instinct thoughts and preconceived ideas, but I have always had a gut instinct feeling that RGMix is the owner of this site, or at least in charge of this forum making sure it runs smoothly, him and jimmie are the code writers, and my willie is a former disgruntled employee that is pissed because he did not get a promotion and left the employ of BandMix and is a C++ code writer for a competing "band site".. go ahead and tell me I am insane, but that is my gut feeling :D .. RG has yelled at me a few times, but he has also been helpful, and he wished me a Happy Birthday once.. so I consider him a good person to know.. :D

until I can get on the same page with other musicians that can actually see the vision as I see it, then I am setting it aside..I do not want to do covers, I want to do my 18 or so originals, mixed in with other like-minded musician's originals.. get them tight as a gnat's ass and then busk outdoors.1 other guitarist would be sufficient, but would not mind adding percussionist and bassist too to fatten it out even more. ain't playing no retirement homes, or truck stops or pizza galleries UNLESS the money is right, and by that, I mean $100.00 per player for no more than 4 hours show :D .. damn jook, all you have to do is read the craigslist music ads to get an idea of how sorry the music scene is in Spfld. Mo. I really want to get out of this place like The Animals sung about.. :D ..

and now my swap meet "beater" guitar a Bruno Ventura gut string was sold Sunday, so I need to find another cheap guitar to carry to attract players.. it needed a couple buttons put on and had to tune d and G strings with a pair of pliers, but it was rosewood, and Bruno put out good quality guitars, and there were mismatched tuning strips on it also, but if I can make 200%markup on anything it is sold outright, I never fall in love with guitars.. there is always another guitar coming along soon..

if I wanted to do country or rock cover tunes it would be less of a problem, I want to do Orlando Lake #31, Yod's Lament, Pounce On The Bounce, etc.
