Interesting comments mostly all around.
I've been a Trump fan from day one, was hoping he would run before he announced. I know he has his flaws and flip flops, but he has a reputation for doing what he says, on time and under budget...when was the last time you saw our government do that? The politicians we've seen for the last 50 years were all multi millionaires who let our government go broke. How do people who have the ability to make that kind of money for themselves, especially in many cases on the salaries of senators, manage to get the country $19 BILLION in debt?
I think he also means what he says. I've only seen him read anything once, when he wanted to make an exact statement, the rest of the time, no rehearsed speeches, no teleprompters, it comes straight from the heart. In several cases it was very obvious he felt very strongly about what he said, one I remember he was holding the podium so his knuckles were white, that's not your typical politician acting...
I'm not fully in line with some of his policies, but I don't remember ever being in complete agreement with any politician.
I saw the writer of the Dilbert comic strip this morning make an interesting observation. Think about this, I'll bet you have imagined Trump already in office, thinking how he would do his job. I'll also bet you haven't done that with any other candidate. That's the effect he has on people.
Palin...can't stand her, that voice is even more irritating than Hillary or Carly Fiorina. Stirs up the stink every time she opens her mouth, I too hope Trump keeps her offstage.
Cruz...Always liked Cruz, he does have a record of standing up for the people and against the status quo politicians in DC, but I still have this nagging bit of doubt because he is still funded by the same caliber of big money donors wo control all other politicians. When he started really coming out against Trump so strong, I had to start wondering who's been whispering in Ted's ear? I'm not sure I like what I see. I'd still vote for Ted if he got the nomination, but I don't think he will.
I have to disagree with Yod on one point, I don't think Bush is the one the establishment wants to shoehorn in if we get to a convention, it's looking like Romney is a more likely bet. His speech bashing Trump a few days ago was despicable, not too long ago he asked for and got Trump's endorsement, and talked about him as if he was the greatest thing since peanut butter. A few days ago he barely stopped short of calling Trump the anti Christ. And I think he wanted to do that...proving he is the same caliber of dishonest, backstabbing politician as Hillary, John Boehner, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnel and so on. I'll never believe another word he says. Funny, I've sad the exact same thing about Bill and Hillary for over 20 years.
This is the most interesting election of the past century. I'm concerned about Trump's faults, but I do think he means what he says and will do what he says. I don't like the egotistical personality, the childish insults and bickering, and I really hope that goes away before election day. I can't wait to see him go head to head with Hillary though, and I think he and Cruz are the only ones who can beat her. Unfortunately, I fully expect the establishment to pull something underhanded, even cheat, to keep Trump and Cruz out of their little gravy train. Cruz has rocked the boat since the day he walked onto the Senate floor. Trump flipped it over and threw away the paddles.
I like the same 3 reasons someone else posted...
Democrats hate Trump,
Republicans hate Trump,
the media hates Trump.
Can't get better endorsements than those.
I'm a member of the BOMB SQUAD.
If you see me running, better catch up!
