Ok "5 More" I like the musical and lyrical style.
But to be honest (here we go again) Those boys and girls in Fallujia for the most part are fightin for what they believe in. (yes I have met and talked with some fresh from "Mr Bushes War"
And they will be the first to tell ya they are fightin for your right to voice your opinion with out having your head sawed off with a dull knife aka Daniel Pearl. but damn few of the one Ive talked to care about a bunch of airconditioned winning ass anti war protests. Nor do I.
That being said I find it no reflection on the talent you and your partner display Good luck.

Well, I'll throw in my two cents...

I liked "5 More". I think it's intelligently written. I would like to hear it flushed out a bit. I write from the acoustic a lot myself, but it's rare that it becomes the finished product. I feel that a little added instrumentation might give it the necessary bump to get the song into the next level. Maybe you already planned to do that, or you prefer it as an acoustic song. Either way, good job.

I didn't actually see the song you mentioned, but I did listen to the other tracks...overall I think you have a decent start and (ironically and not intended to offend) you have a pretty strong Black Sabbath sound. I don't know what you intended, but the sound is very raw and in-your-face. If that's what you are going for, then you are definitely on the right track (in my opinion).

Thanks Joseph, Yes the track I mentioned is on the Bandmix profile not on the Myspace yet. The intent for the heavy stuff is "In Your Face"
or more of instead of "This little candle of mine" its " My raging bonfire"
I like Black Sabbath and do not easly take offense to a mans opinion honestly given.
We are currently working on a 12 bar blues tune, when she's done I'll set her up for sacrifice.

Very solid song writin' in my opinion. Good singin' and playin' too. Having rocked my way through the 60's, however, I'm a tad burned out on protest songs . None the less, I wouldn't mind jammin' out with The Hick myself. Good playin'.

First Hick, welcome to the site. Best of luck with IA he is a musical force to be reckoned with! On Five More The guitar is well played with good rhythm. Good mix on the Vox and guitar. I'm totally not into protest songs so the lyrics went right by me. Your Vox are OK. On key but not too exciting. The first 2 phrases of each verse are a dead ringer for brown eyed girl. Now get busy with Anthony! Show us what you 2 can do together! I'm optimistic and waiting!

sanshouheil, You have a pure rock sound. That's good to me. Over all I'm sorry but I don't like "a new way to live". The Guitar starts off sounding like a 15 year old kid with his first grunge pedal turned to 10 running direct into a 4 track. The sound is hazy and solid state. The progression is pretty teenager rock 101. The singing is flat often and his tone is amateur and forced. Tell him to use what his momma gave him I.E. natural tone. The leads at the end are weak. Weaker than mine! The rhythm of the band overall is loose. The drummer was dragging and stumbled 2 or 3 times. Having said all that harshness let me follow with - One year of your nose to the grindstone can fix a lot of that. I'd say you have plenty of potential. Stick with it!

Whether I agree with the lyrical content or not, it's well written. I'm hearing the Brown Eyed Girl thing too, but it doesn't bother me. I agree with Neanderpaul. I can't wait to hear the collaboration. I'm a big fan of IA as well. Good luck guys.

Thank you Neanderpaul for your honest assesment. I am already working on my tone. Ray was working out a new lead at that practice and yes it was weak, but to his credit i have to tell you I lost his best cut to file contamination on the recorder. And dead on about the guitar part except the kid is 47 and it was a metal zone into the PA. At Craigs suggestion I have began to play through an amp and in the market for a better amp to go with my Strat. Nothing harsh about the truth, and I appreciate hearing it. We'll see what you think in a couple months.
