I don't see a web page listed in this thread. Do you mean it's on your profile?

I was hungry once (well maybe more than once) and threw together some damn good players and we rehearsed a whole week. Then I went to book us a gig in Underground Atlanta. When I got there I realized I'd forgotten the name we'd chosen for the band.

An embarrassing moment but I played it off and told the club owner, "We're called 'AfterBirth.' it's a Buddhist thing..."

He replied, "Whatever..."

That was the gig where I blew out my left ear (midrange) sigh. But the boys got paid and since we had a few bucks left over after buying booze, we also bought some food! 8)

Its OK - but Punchily short, it has energy but the overall shape of the song is a little flat. Bass line is good, guitars are a bit too grundgy, The vocals "some time flat" lack emotional depth. Would benefit from improved production and more thought about the shape of the song.

What he said, plus the harmonized lead guitar is clichéd and the shaker is completely out of rhythm.

Also, the rhythm guitar is playing too staccato. It should be either strummed or picked on a song like this, or you're coming up with some new genre I've never heard of....

Ok
Lots of comments on one of the songs we are working on. Site only will let 10 meg to be loaded at a time.
I hate the word genre. Slowly I turn step by step, inch by inch
And some people recognized the music terms harmony- staccato-bass
Wow I'm impressed.

Thanks for your take on the song. Appreciate it.
Yes I agree with your thoughts. As you know the vocals are the hardest.
We are working hard to get the singing and harmonies right.
Not an expert on recording but it is getting better the more time spending on the remix.
Was looking for some guidance. I am the Rhythm guitarist and the bass player.
Using a Tascam DP32.

How are you monitoring this? The bass and kick are very low in the mix. The rhythm guitar sounds like its DIed direct into the Tascam? Doesn't have any good amp sound to it - if it is a miked amp, work on the tone of it.

Yes
Went direct to Tascam.
Monitors are KLIPSCH SB2BH SERIES
Martin -DXME Guitar
I think the recording I did earlier on it is better but recorded to low.
So I redid.
Agreed needs some life to it.
Will add other music when I can .
Thanks
