Haley- I know all about Texans. As a MOF, my great-grandfather was from east Texas and had the surname of 'Travis'. If you are a 'dyed-in-the-wool' Texan and know your state history, this was THE name in Texas next to Sam Houston & Stephan Austin. He moved east across the Sabine River and got into trouble w/ the law and changed his name, later to marry my great-grandmother, a Choctaw Indian woman. I remember her but he died @ a very early age from causes unknown to me.

I knew there's a reason I like you! :D

NO. You just threw the Gospel from St. John out the window!!

St John is on a discussion board?

Peter and Paul were crucified for going into the Roman world with the gospel, while John didn't and was allowed to live in exile. OK, I see your point.

Spent many an hour as a child and later brought my children their to cool off and relax in the hot summertime. Saw Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente their when I was a kid. Also saw the Randy Johnson vs. Mark McGuire matchup the last year it was open.

I loved that old place. Never been to the juice box.

They are wanting to bring the Dome floor up to ground level to make it an indoor park with 1200 parking spaces under it. Here is a link to an article. It is from last July but has been in the news as recently as this week.

Yeah Jook I was at that same game! Everyone thought Mark McGuire would hit the homer to break the record that night. I remember all the camera flashes as McGuire swung the bat!

Jook, I am a native Houstonian, my dad took me to one of the first games in the Astrodome. I have been to hundreds of games/events in the Dome. That Game is the Best most memorable game and I felt extremely blessed to have been at that game with unbelievable seats Wow what a time!

Jook, what did an HPD motorcycle cop do to you?
I just recently went thu a divorce. Final back in November. I moved to Laporte to be close to my oldest Son. Out here where all the refineries are. I am also close to the Kemah entertainment district. Don't know how long ago you were here but the Kemah/Seabrook area is an unbelievable area for bands and folks that love GREAT food (seafood) and live music!
Oh and the city of Laporte just approved a building permit for the new Gilley's to be built I am so excited this is finally going to happen! Pasadena denied the permit! It's okay I am 100% sure it will be a venue to employ hardworking musicians of all Genre's! I saw the press on it and Mickey wants it to be a more family friendly as apposed to the nightclub of yesterday!

So sorry your wife was in any condition to go to MD Anderson but that's the best place to go if you have cancer!
I'm suspecting this was during the time three cops were murdered? The time is right, anyway that's not what Houston or Texas is about, sorry a nice guy with a sick wife was made to feel like you were singled out! That's right your not from Texas, Texas wants you anyhow! Dang John Elway looks old! :D

Having said that I must say when you post things then turn around and apologize for doing so it becomes hard for me to take you seriously. If you feel strongly enough to post something own it man. I know it is a free country and you are free to do as you please (unless you're a conservative) you have back peddled on your post several times in the past.

I did not retract anything I said, and still stand behind it, but being rude to jimmy was stupid of me, and do feel jimmie was deserving of an apology, I still think atheists are destroying the fabric of society, ever hear of O'Hair, she has caused much damage to what the founders of America thought to be essential for America..
