I uploaded another track called "THE WELL". It is night and day different from "I'm gonna get you" and it is equally night and day different from "taken". "THE WELL" is acoustic and soft. It's not rock pop like "taken" and it is not freaky spoken word like "I'm gonna get you" feel free to dissect.

Started out well.. I like the feel of it in general. Very Radio head'ish.

Bridge with the D chord, Dsus4 stuff etc. I would rewrite that.

Also I thought that tune might be a lot more if in the second half you went from clean channel to distorted for the repeat. Like building up to a heavier 2nd half type feel.

Even though I've been deeply traumatized by a certain song of yours previously I bravely and with extreme caution clicked on your profile again and I have to say I really like this one. This song is you brother.

On a side note. Now maybe that vision of the man in the trench-coat standing close to the swing set will go away.

Dude.. You are a pimp.

Where are you recording your music?? Cause that sounds killer. Love the song, the lyrics, the vocal harmonizing, all of it..

Good job man. I'm really impressed.

I'll take a radiohead comparison any day. Thanks! I like your suggestions. This is another track I wrote and quickly recorded. I never got a chance to "live with it", then rework. If I get a chance to rerecord it I will definitely try to build the energy as the song progresses. thanks for your suggestions.

Glad you threw caution to the wind! I'm glad you like it!!

Woah man!! :D That's extra cool to me since your music is so different from this song. MAN!! Your song burn is huge! You need to start a topic in the General Chat section called "critique requested for song "burn"". You got some skills dude. What part(s) do you play in the band? You kind of sound like a more approachable Chevelle. You straight sound big league. After hearing your song I am way more flattered you like my stuff. Nah, forget that. I'M starting a thread called "Check out One Day Broken's track "burn"". To answer your question. I recorded "The well" in a radio station where I worked. Q99 in Roanoke, Virginia. I recorded it about 6 years ago maybe. I recorded "I'm gonna get you" on a Tascam cassette 4 track about 8 years ago. I also record at home using just audacity. I have recorded a bunch on my Boss RC-50 looper. Check out this one.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5IAQVPGKTs

yes i really like this song...your vocals sound fantastic both lead and backing..i like the simple straight guitar but i would have done a second guitar following the backing vocal melody to flesh it out a bit in parts..
but that just me....
it takes alot more balls to keep it simple sometimes...but you hit the spot with this one...

and by the by your other song "add' is the dogs bollox..i love it..its got a great vibe to it...straight from the first riff..
