I should note that in a very well done PBS broadcast of "Sharpe's Rifles" the Duke of Wellington complained that London instead of sending him real soldiers was sending him "effete, over fed bafoons!"

I ain't arguing with the Iron Duke! 8)

great. so, now in addition to haley's claims of his alleged intentional grammar gaffes, spelling snafus, and clause catastrophes....we can now look forward to him claiming he's channeling the Duke of Wellington!

Maybe Haley misspelled 'on porpoise'?

For the record, I'm a huge Bowie guy. Have everything. Listen to it all. Saw him in 04. Killer show. Just not gonna talk about this on every board I frequent.

Jook

Tony Visconti did the bass on Man who Sold the World - arguably Bowie's best and certainly hardest punching album. It remains an inspiration to me ever time I hear it.

Cut the guy some slack. Bowie was no er, bafoon, to be used and abused by just anyone. They knew how to work together.

Cause the guy was bisexual?

Was this aimed at me? If so, no. Don't care about that in the slightest. I just dropped in without reading the previous 2 pages of posts. Don't know what I missed.
