After all the lies and corruption of Hillary, the GOP has become not much better. Though I would take any GOP candidate over her, apparently the rest of the country has not made the same decision yet, if the polling is accurate.

According to the latest polling, there is only one viable candidate who wouldn't lose to Clinton in the general election. But I remind you that's what they tried to tell us in 1980 when it was Reagan vs Carter.

Like that vote ended up being, I think it would be a landslide of historic proportion.

I've been hearing about this a little today, they're finding a big difference in online polls. Not the Drudge and so forth, the larger polling outfits that also do the phone polls and are regularly quoted by most news agencies.

The idea is once people close the curtain and nobody knows, a lot more people support Trump than the in person polls show. Online polls are showing a lot more support for Trump than phone or in person polls, when people can offer an opinion that is not public.

Right now the polls are all over the place, and really still too many people in the republican race to deduce much from polls. I think two people can beat Hillary without any trouble, Trump and Cruz. Christie maybe, but I doubt if he'll get the chance to try.

Trump is finally getting some of the stuffed suits on TV to realize the voters really are sick of the status quo in Washington, and he's really a serious candidate. Since Trump and Cruz are the top 2 in the republican race, both totally against the career politicians running things now, it's finally sinking in that we're fed up. None of the establishment politicians will make it this time, which is why Bush is fighting to get back to 5%.

I'm waiting to see what happens once the first primaries are over and most of them drop out. I'm pretty convinced it will then thin out to Trump, Cruz and Rubio, then we'll see who picks up the people who now support any of 10 others. Graham just dropped out but I don't know of this poll shows any changes due to that. Who knows, that may be why Bush went from 3% to 4%...

Some of the stuffed suits are saying Rubio is the best chance to beat Hillary, I doubt it. This last week he showed his establishment colors pretty well, I expect him to start losing support very soon, probably already has. He's their pick once Bush started into a nose dive. He's smart, has some good points, handles himself well in a debate, but he's in the establishment's pocket, and that will probably keep him down.

What I really don't understand is why is Hillary even managing to stay in the race and not get dumped by the Democratic party. After all the lies about everything you can think of and a poll not long ago showing the first word people think of when you say her name is liar, I thought she would be considered toxic and dumped by the DNC long ago. I guess she's all they got...but with almost 1000 emails shown to be classified, and a couple that were top secret, a string of lies and major scandals that can be traced back to the 80's, dumped from the team investigating Nixon, worst Secretary of State ever at least until John Kerry came along, I can't see her as even remotely qualified.

And if you don't know it, Hillary knew those emails were classified before they were sent, she was one of 20 people appointed to determine what is classified and at what level. Her claim that they were not marked classified won't hold water. It was her job to determine what was classified...she knew...

But what are the options? Bernie Sanders, confirmed socialist, always yelling, or Martin Omalley, who strikes me as just as much of a wimp as Obama is. Any one of the Republicans would be better than any of them. Mike Huckabee has beaten the Clintons in Arkansas before, but he won't even get close to the nomination. So I think either Trump and Cruz could beat her, if they team up, she's history. And I suspect they might. Cruz would love to get her into a debate, he's a US debate champion, and 2nd worldwide. Has a debate championship named after him. Trump could probably take her in a debate, he's a quick learner. and very aggressive. She's already playing the victim card, she'll try to play the female card once it comes to debate time, I know Trump won't fall for it, I don't think Cruz will either. Christie is the only other one who wouldn't back down if she played the female card, he's tough, but he's also not the president we need. Establishment candidate again...

So I think either Trump or Cruz could beat her, and once people step behind the curtain so nobody knows, they'll vote what they feel even if it would get them criticized in a dinner table discussion. I'm fairly sure they will be the last two standing, it should get interesting then...OK it's already the most interesting presidential race in many years, and it's far from over...

Careful Mike. I know you were trying to use a pig expression in a negative way but my experience with a little pet pig shows something different. First he is becoming fiercely loyal and protective. He is very smart in figuring things out. He is not greedy, only motivated to feed. Just be aware a "big pig" is actually very dangerous. I would rather face down a 150lb dog than a 150lb pig (small pig), they are very strong compared to a dog. If any candidate has a pig in their corner they may have a big edge in any election. Remember this, don't feed the pig, and don't underestimate the pig.

That's healthy skepticism.

Every poll shows that Trump's negatives are too high...only Hillary could be worse. The only way she avoids prosecution is by winning the Presidency, then she can sweep her own crimes under the rug where Obama and the DOJ hide his. A Hillary win probably starts a violent revolution.

Again...it's probably moot since I don't believe Obama is leaving without violence.

But IF it actually happens....Rubio is the last desperate attempt by GOP establishment to install their New World Order. He's trying to position himself as the State Department candidate, able to execute a war better than the others.

Cruz is the only person in this race who:
a) upheld the Constitution and rule of law at every opportunity
b) has done exactly what he said he would do if elected
c) stood by Israel unconditionally
d) represents the people of Texas
e) not afraid to shut down the political apparatus, if necessary (which causes his biggest negative)

I think a win by him shuts DC cronyism with Wall Street down for several years....and that's a GREAT thing.

Not sure anyone else is on the radar, which is a bit surprising actually.

what a crock of sh*t...the so called "war on christmas". total BS.

get real, people say it all the time... i can't begin to count how many times i've been wished a "Merry Christmas" over the last few wks. and no one was hauled off to the brig, tarred and feathered, grabbed up by jack booted UN troops, sent to a Wal Mart detention center, or executed.

it's a complete non issue made into an issue by those with their own very dull axe to grind.

so, wishing people "Happy Holidays" has your undies are all in bunch because some people are sensitive (and smart enough) to know that not everyone celebrates christmas????

get real. i'm jewish....and i always appreciate it when some is tactful enough to understand this simple fact...not EVERYONE is a Christian who celebrates Christmas. that's simply good manners on their part and being considerate of other's beliefs. nothing more.

there are plenty of REAL problems to worry about. the alledged "attack on christmas" ain't one of 'em.

glenny, you recently wished me a Merry Christmas.....thanks, i'm STILL jewish. but because it's the holiday season....i will risk being "LABLED a bigot a racist or something worse" to wish you and your's (and everyone who DOES celebrate christmas) a "Merry Christmas".

Yea, I don't understand why people are so easily offended these days.

Most the people I know who would get upset about being told to have a "Merry Christmas" are christians who know the pagan roots of Dec 25th being the day of Mithras' resurrection.

Even to them, I say "Merry Christmas" because the devil doesn't own a single day on my calendar. My guess is that we all know Jesus wasn't born on that day, but so what? We can still celebration peace on earth, goodwill towards all people. Giving and loving is never against the law.
