My agent is real excited about me getting on Pandora radio. Now, I'm not really all that excited yet but she says that I'm playing on stations with major artists and it will up the profile more than being on anything else, including Spotify (according to her)

I know we submitted for Pandora about 18 months ago...not sure why they take so long to decide?

Needed to leave the house a half hour ago to start my final tour of the year, a short jaunt to Oklahoma and Arkansas for 5 concerts that will bring me home by next Monday night with some $$$ for presents.

Looking back on 2015, it's probably been my most profitable year ever as a musician, which is saying a lot since I left the (Sony/BMG/Provident) label in 2009 and went indie.

Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas to all!

:D

I assume Pandora pays the same per stream as Spotify ($0.0016/stream)? One difference about Pandora is that your music will get played in other 'stations' which people have created in their own personal Pandora (not the 'commercial' Pandora stations)- unlike Spotify where the person can create a playlist and hear ONLY what they have put in it.
I assume your agent thinks that if people hear your songs somewhere, they will seek you out on Spotify and elsewhere.
Pandora usually takes 2-3 months to accept/reject, but they may be getting even more backed up these days.
