Reagan inherited a much worse recession than Obama and turned completely it around in 4 years into the great economic boom in world history...which means that the poverty rate was MUCH lower during his terms than during the current occupant.

That's an inaccurate question MARK. Not only in NY have gun rights been stepped on in the guns you can own but some of the rule of law actually put POLICE in violation of the new laws passed in the middle of the night. To further enhance the point CONN. passed a law requiring the registration of all semi auto rifles... Now by estimates there are approximately 100,000 new felons.

What you fail to see is the breakdown of law because anarchy has taken over the law. I.E. I don't give a damn if you smoke or not, but federal park rules now include a smoking ban including E CIGS... Seriously... I guess you are one of those irresponsible people that need a government so large that they can control when you crap...

When it comes to the anti-gun crowd that clamors for stricter gun control, hypocrisy and double standards abound.

Case in point is Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, who recently attended an anti-gun rally with an armed guard at his side, epitomizing the typical “guns for me but not for thee” attitude rampant among anti-gun politicians.

McAuliffe was attending the #WhateverItTakes gun control rally in Washington D.C., ostensibly to push for more and expanded background checks for gun purchases.

The rally was purportedly held in honor of the Virginia reporter and cameraman recently shot and killed by an angry ex-colleague who, surprise, surprise, passed a background check and legally purchased his firearm, just as most other recent high-profile shooters have done.

When asked about the clear double standard of his having an armed guard while he tries to limit access to firearms for regular citizens, the governor brushed off the question by claiming anyone who has passed a background check could legally carry a gun as well.

According to Breitbart though, the rally was held in D.C., which is notorious for limiting access to firearms for even law-abiding citizens that have passed background checks, making McAuliffe’s answer entirely theoretical in nature.

Nor is McAuliffe alone in his hypocrisy, as numerous gun control advocates and anti-gun politicians travel with armed guards, live in gated communities protected by guns, or even carry guns themselves.

Sadly, these people are willfully blind to their own double standards and will continue to utilize the best tool available to protect themselves while simultaneously working to deny that same tool to regular people just trying to survive and defend themselves against criminals running rampant.
