But keep trying to convince the world, I applaud your lost cause.

The only thing I ever asked of you was to go away.

You sir are a poser.

You have no music posted, unless you count that horribly recorded Hendrix cover you butchered.

You have no pictures posted. I can only assume that means you're not photogenic if you get my drift.

You don't like women.

You don't like metal.

You don't like country.

You sh*t on everyone's threads with your stupid remarks and your "LOLs".

You can't find a band to save your life so you try to rain on everyone else's parade. Why not try another hobby that doesn't make you so bitter?
Like Russion Roulette.

Hope that was "creative" enough for you. Loser.

Could of used you at the show last night Ryan. The singer/screamer of the band that opened for us lost his voice after the first song and they ended up just doing instrumentals for their set.

This is the one thing that impresses me about some, maybe even alot of screamers. I would think they would be throwing their voices out every damn night. But maybe they are not really screaming all-out like it seems? And because the mic is in their mouths, it just sounds like it?

What's the secret?

Confess!!! LOL :-)

Well, he does alot of covers, but he is also a creative guy. I like his original stuff. That melody he put under his father's poem is awesome!

He plays guitar better than you, and sings better too from what can be gathered from that song you posted.

You gotta pick lesser musicians if you are going to criticize their artistry.

Stick to Christian women. That's more of a match-up for you.

Metal screaming has nothing to do with yelling at the top of your lungs...Your head would explode before you reached the end of a song. It's all about the diaphragm. Believe it or not, some metal artist's screams are actually lower in volume than their singing voice. You have to use your diaphragm and the muscles in your stomach area more than your throat.

So these comments from people talking about hurting your throat and damaging your larynx are all false. Those things can only happen if you're not performing the screams correctly. If it feels extremely uncomfortable when you scream, that means you're not doing it right.

If you want to learn more, there are plenty of videos on Youtube that teach you the basics of screaming. They can't really teach you HOW to scream, because its hard to just tell someone how, but they teach you how to control your breathing and they give you some great vocal exercises.

Hope that info helps you, Craig. :D

Haaaahaaahaaa! Damn Jimmy, I almost hurled my pepsi on the keyboard. Now that was good. How's that for an opinion Captain? No Gilligans here I'm afraid.

Very helpful.

And I suspected something similar, otherwise there'e no way you guys could do it night after night. You're really singing in a way, or at least using the same muscles, just doing it more gutterly, so to speak.

Cool. Thanks.

How come threads on the internet always turn into arguments? Yes, I understand you all have opinions, but do you always have to share them?

I made this thread to get feedback on my vocals, and to see if there are any interested bands. I did not make this to be a debate about who likes screamo and who doesn't.

So if you have anymore insults you want to throw around at people, please take it to another thread.

Now if we could get back on topic:

RyanStrain3032 wrote:Just came to say...I posted a cover of In Flames' "Take This Life" on my profile. Don't pay attention to the little parts where I sing cause the key was too high and I was struggling a little. Just focus on the screams. Listen to the whole thing too, cause the best part is during the last 15 seconds.

I trust there will be no more arguing...at least on this thread.

OK I must just be gittin to old for all this If I cant discern any type of sustainable rhythm other than it sounding like my chain saw running I just cant deal with it. Nothing personal. I like and want comment on anything I post from all aspects of the musical world. If you think my stuff sucks Hell just tell me my stuff sucks. I got past what others thought about me when I was 12.
Ryan you sound a lot better to me than other screamers I.ve heard. I can generally understand each word. Keep at It.
Apparently this style really sells in the "New World"

Captain Scott wrote:I am loving reading this. All you old hairballs all getting your underwear in a knot is funnier than the original thread.

And the same goes for all you cheerio eating little 2 bits, covering iron man and Sabbath tunes for the 1000000000x time.

You wanna cry, well let's get down to it.

Some of us bitch when anyone says anything they don't like. That's the cheering section. They all love to throw the lettuce, but it's ok. I like to hear the remarks, good bad or indifferent. It's a faqing forum, by definition it's a place where people can say what they think, right or wrong. GET USED TO IT. You don't have to agree with it, you just have to realize that people can say what they want without your permission.

Some of us bitch when we hear stuff that we don't like. They are the "nay sayers". I am a nay sayer. Screamo is not the same as metal. I say no to screamo. Metal is at least passable, well if it isn't fing Iron Man or Sweet leaf. I mean, listen to a new album for gods' sake. The stuff is tired and been covered by people plenty better than you.

Some of us think it is our duty to preserve the reputation of the underdog. That's the "would be heroes." We have a lot of them, mostly the old people that play the same stuff over and over again hoping that someone will think it's worthwhile.

Did I miss anyone?

I mean I may be unduly negative, but I have to laugh at the utter morons.

It's a forum and as long as you understand it's an opinion, why do you have to cry about it like a little bitch?

Cheers to the old guy who still cries about that Christian music woman. Did you think she was going to give it up for you? That's a laugh and then some. If you can't get laid in real life, you aren't going to do it online.

Cheers to the cretin still playing old Sabbath. You don't want to know what I think of that and I don't care what you think, so whatever you might say is A-ok by me, jr. It's your opinion and you are entitled to it.

Cheers to the screamo guy. I don't like it. I like metal, but I don't like that. If you don't like my opinion, ignore it like a good adult or aren't you an adult?

In any case feel free to ignore whatever you like, just don't sit there and cry like your pu**y hurts. Over half of the teen wannabe bitch squad, doesn't have the right equipment, but they may try Midol anyway.

I hate country and western as well. Want to cry some more?

I hate punk music, I think it's an unskilled version of music. Want to cry some more?

There is a lot I don't like and no I don't go around saying so on every thread, but it seems like a few are more than happy to cry at a moments notice. It's an opinion and try as you might, you can't take that away from anyone regardless of the lack of brain power you seem to exhibit.

I have heard some crap on this site I didn't like and a whole bunch of people asking for opinions on their music, except what they really mean is they want the positive and not the negative. So all you people out there, better keep your negative criticisms to yourself or someone may cry. LOL

As if anyone gave a sh*t. I figured this out early, thus I post nothing here now. Why bother?

jesus christ....do you really think the world revloves around you "captain spankdamonkey" i tell you this your music is sh*t and your attitude is even worse...who the f uck do you think you are?????
are they rest of us here to entertain your sad little fantasy???

i could understand if you were a top pro musician with his head up his own arse(i know a few of them) but your not...so it makes you even more of a s hithead to act like caesar when your only audio clip sounds like a bag of drowning cats let loose with an f/x unit...

i never had a problem with your outlandish comments before... to tell the truth at least you didnt follow the gang much like myself sometimes
but your "rant" has really pissed me(and im sure others) off..

and if you never came to the boards again....well i wont be sheadin any f uckin tears.

Jimmy, how about "your mother dresses you funny" and "you sound bad, like you recorded it in your garage". lol

PS: I'll say what I like and F*** you if you don't like it.

You need to copy some more Rolling Stones. You sound like your gargle with broken glass.

Even better, you look like Gilligan with a strat.

All the little cheesers cry about this and that, I love reading it. Even better is the cheering section that tells you what a fine job you do, when it sounds like ass incarnate.

One mans' trash is another man's treasure. I respect your inclination to play what you want, even though I don't necessarily appreciate it.

Now go copy someone elses' works and make sure you do the same lackluster job. And you do look like Gilligan, Jimmy. Truth hurts.

I bet you even try to perform Nirvana in your spare time, Jimminy..lol
You going to try NIN and Trent Resnor's stuff next? I bet that will be similar to the other stuff you posted. LOL @ THAT, JR.
The only danger you pose, Jimmy, is that of having to listen to your whole set. I post what I want to and if it doesn't suit you, that's tough. CRY SOME MORE. I don't mind at all.

Craig, that's your opinion and I respect it. I don't agree but that's ok as well. You want to get all caught up in the witch with tape recorded nonsense that's all good by me. She won't sleep with you, either..but that's another story.

Ryan, leave your sunglasses on until further notice. You have very little to be crowing about.

Mike Gentry, good luck you will need it. And don't quit your day job, the factory may not be there forever, you know.

All you other little trolls, come out, come out wherever you are. I got more for you. Crunch all you like, we'll make more.

EDIT: LOL Have a good cry on me, IA. It's fine by me. And no, I am not going to silence myself just because all the field mice are crying real tears.

If you are angry, try recording something good and posting it. Make us all see your heavenly skills. How about that? I am still looking for someone I think is better than "The Mind Melters."

In other words, "bugger off, mate." Comprendez, mi amigo?

Well... You haven't met our front man... He screams...Loud...

He is amazing though.. he never cracks or loses his voice.. Sometimes his head looks as if it might split in half though lol..

Whoo, this thread has gotten out of control. Are we not all musicians? (Well, I am trying to be one, may take awhile). Everyone needs to stop ripping each other in half, I have never seen anything like this.

Captain, I agree with you on some things. I do not mind the negative commentary, yes sometimes it can be senseless to post opinions if they are overly negative and demeaning, but on the other, it is only truthful criticism and opinions. Everyone is entitled to like and not like what they want, and they are entitled to express that view.

On the other hand, as I was saying, if it is too negative and is attacking the person who wrote it, it tends to go overboard. Just honest opinions are alright.

If you do not like Jimmy's singing or what he plays, you can say that in a nicer way. It does not need to be abrupt.

Like, as an example, no I do not think Jimmy's vocals are anything great (As I have told him in prior threads with some of his covers). But he is a very good guitar player and is showcasing his talent - which is fine with me. Yeah, okay, let him post some more originals and not covers, but we cannot take away his abilities/talent.

Jimmy, we know Captain can be very critical and is very blunt with his thoughts on matters. I pretty much except it, it is his personality. You have to learn to get used to it, you can disagree, but like I said, got to adjust to it. He has every right to post like all of us, even though some points he made before were somewhat overboard (Somewhat cruel).

You guys both have to relax, this is bullsh*t fighting like this. We do not come to this forum for this purpose. We come here to listen to music, socialize, learn, and comprehend the different styles and cultures of the music world.

Fighting is senseless, it gets no one anywhere. So if we do not like something, that is fine to say so, if we do not agree, it is fine to say so, but the only thing we need to have is a little tact. To where we do not come out and say everything that crosses our minds, because sometimes that hurts others - hurting other people is not going to help anyone, it is especially not going to help them progress as a musician.

That is my take on it, no offense to you Captain or you Jimmy. I am being honest in my opinions above.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

oh i see...well if that isn't the kettle calling the pot black..i am a free member so i can't post any more tunes than i have now...but i feel that the songs on my profile are a fair enough representation of my songwriting and playing skills (things you seem to know very little about)...don't get me wrong i have never said i'm the "sh*t" to anyone here but at least i have my own tunes that most but not all seem to like..i would hate it if everybody liked my stuff but if 8 out of 10 people like my stuff well that is just dandy...if you hate my music but most normal folk like it or at least don't hate it....well that works for me capt spanky.

in other words i have more talent in my big toe than you will ever posess in your whole sorry body....

as you say "get used to it" sunshine

and you don't make me angry...it's just your unflinching sense of arrogance and self importance that really makes you look like a fake..
why don't YOU try and record something....and put it on the boards. lets see what the big bad "capt spanky" stuff sounds like...and not that hendrix car crash you have up....talk about drivel...

in other words you talk a good game, spanky, but you got no game... face it and i'm sure it eats you up inside... you're not a musician...you never will be..and you have done nothing to show you could be...you can call me every name under the sun...but at least i'm a musician..

get used to it.

GA, don't get involved. The moral majority is da house.

The little critters do not want the unabashed truth, they want watered down versions of only what they want to hear.

The fact that someone has an opinion that isn't theirs is obscene to them.

I don't personally do not care that people do not see it my way and honestly I thank god for that. If we all saw it the same way, it would be an awfully boring place.

Having said that, I repeat do not get involved GA. I need no help standing on my own and they will go after you for very little.

You seem to be of your own independent mind set and that isn't very popular around here of late.

Just let the fur fly. And don't pick on Jimmy (Gilligan) else he will no doubt try to rub you the wrong way as well. I like to consider my exterior that of teflon, as it all rolls off. But truth is I don't want to see anyone else take cheap shots because they said something the moral majority didn't like.

"F em all and let god sort them out"

We all like what we like and we all dislike what we don't like. It's not against the law to say what you think, well not in this country at least. Just read it and realize what you are coping with here. (Some are good natured and some are not) (Some will kiss your rear end and some will not) I don't care what the moral majority thinks, but you may well take a flying leap if you think you can cry hard enough to silence anyone in this forum. (Care for a cocktail wiener w/toothpick?)
