Playing any music lately? My hands and arms are still sore from weekend projects - ripped up the carpet in the master bedroom on Sunday - it had been down 19 years, time for a change. Then yesterday I put down the decking on a new rear deck on the house. Recorded the lead guitar for that video Sunday evening,luckily it wasn't too long (and I only did two takes, used the 2nd). Trying to rehearse a few numbers to play later this week in memory of one of the guys I met at open mics in the last couple of years, he passed away on Saturday. Also trying to learn harp - bought a set of cheap ones at Guitar Center this weekend.

I've practiced in a few garages before - do you have yours set up as a 'man cave'?
My first "gig" was in a garage - or in the doorway of one. It was 1968, I was 12 years old and the son of a friend of my mom's who was 14 had got his first electric guitar and amp. he set it up facing out of his garage when we were visiting. The only song he knew how to play was Herman's Hermits' "Henry the 8th". I did the handclapping and shouted out the 'second verse, same as the first' part. We had all the neighborhood girls gathered in front of the garage by the time we got to '22nd verse, same as the first'!

yeah, I set it up to record stuff. Mics, mixers, tape deck. But these guys I play with now can't really make it through a song without messing up, so we just record on their digital Tascam doodads.
