nicely done. i'm not into that style, but it kept me interested even w/o a vcl or much of a melody or "lead line" going on. do you plan on adding something on top? even w/o that....you kept things moving forward. points.

i think the recording and mix are quite happening. welcome to bandmix.

It's a good song, but everything is kind of muddled together. Try hard panning the rhythm and lead guitar to opposite channels and increasing the bass levels on the bass guitar and drums. The guitars are also a little too alike in tone and fx for my tastes. If you add some reverb, wah or tremolo to the lead, it should help those stand out from each other. Very solid performance, though.

Anytime! It's all about the eq. We went to a hipster restaurant (loud atmosphere) and this was the first song I recognized-

http://youtu.be/WKRQZrJJJCM

But all I could hear was the bass guitar and bass drum and snare. I just sat there for five minutes trying to discern whether it was the way the speakers were set up in the top of the vaulted ceiling (and eq'ed extremely towards bass) or if they actually had a special version of the song with the guitars removed completely.

Stuff can mess with your head, if you're attuned to it, or just go right over a lot of other people's heads. Literally.

Schmed

That's a pretty rockin' tune actually. Hadn't heard any of their stuff before.

Yeah, I love the guitars, but the vocals are just bleh. A friend had recommended them because he said my demos sounded like them (guitar-wise, at least).
