Wow Jimmy just WOW! You liberals are so enamored with your party that you REFUSE to see the truth! Such arrogance is what birthed the NAZI PARTY! I guess mankind really is doomed to repeat history? Our own arrogance WILL destroy the human race, I pray God will have mercy on all our souls!

I guess nowadays even more women begin to have their own profession and be more independent but not only like some kind of babysitter staying at home, maybe will come the days when it would be on revers - it will be the men who will carry for the home.... it's a joke, but in reality there're a lot of women good professional in all around the world - cool!

Cheers!

So then we have a (usually) single parent who can barely afford to live with a child to raise and provide for. That child may become pregnant and the whole cycle repeats.

Or they could become Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, LeBron James, Sean Combs....

As long as someone breathes, there is always the chance that they could succeed (or even just live a happy life without regard to possessions) if given an opportunity to live. A death sentence just because they're parents are poor is not only unfair, but discriminatory when the person is innocent to begin with.

How would you feel if a "gay gene" could be detected (don't hold your breath because it doesn't exist) and parents started killing their kids because they might be born gay?

There is no blindness darker than those who refuse to see.

If you wanted to know the truth, you would.

Ted, the myth that anyone can become anything is a nice idea but the truth is most people are born into their social positions.

very interesting to hear - sometimes I also thought about that do you think it's really truth?? But what about all the people that for example study in University and become good professional, have a good job or someone who works hard and come to some results step by step and reach the success.... maybe it's not all so impossible, let's not speak to be a millionaire but to live a good life, have good job that you enjoy on it... maybe it's the personal question for each of us to reach that, anyway it's hard too.

The DNC is making sure that we all are "equal" in misery, but that isn't how it used to be, or supposed to be.

Conservatives believe with equal opportunity, people will rise to the level they want to be at. Not all want to be successful or even productive members of society who excel in life, but to kill the innocent in advance of even having a chance because of the social status of their parents is no better than Hitler's euthanasia projects against the weak, the handicapped, or the undesirable (as defined by the State)

Regardless, it's still a woman's choice and RIGHT.

Not if that woman is a baby, according to your logic. Those females can be "terminated" indiscriminately at will

ok, first off...color me impressed w everyone's (ted, jimmy, jeff) eloquence and abilty to articulate their very strong feelings on this subject MINUS the nastiness, namecalling, and smug superiority that sadly is the norm in this forum among those holding different views. nice to see everyone w their big boy pants on!

that said... i've gotten a close up view of what one possible version of my own personal hell might look like....another 10 or 20 yrs from now (since i believe we ALL are gonna lead long, and healthy lives in spite of vamp's prognostications otherwise) we'll all still be here reading the latest back and forth on this issue!

c'mon people.....i get that we're all passionate on this (and many other issues) but really.....how much is accomplished by the constant regurge of this (and many other subjects)????

whose mind has been changed? even in the light of the most eloquent, well thought out, and well written views expressed on this???? we'd all accomplish just as much towards convincing our other side of the argument by spending 10 min changing our gtr or bass strings!

really gang...at this point, is there anyone who isn't sure where we all stand on this subject? so, constantly DECLARING our views and beliefs on it here on BM seems a tad silly to me at this moment. seems there's ought to be better uses of our time for all the time put into rehashing this kind of stuff ad nauseam

am i gonna weigh in w my views on it??? nah....i'm gonna convert JUST AS MANY to my views on this by changing my bass strings for tonight's gig! :)

now, where are those damn XL220's ?????

I wish we lived in a world where abortion was not necessary. I really do.

I also wish we lived in a world where children didn't starve to death, get killed in wars or get abused or neglected. But we don't.

I wish I could be a dreamer and an idealist instead of a cynic jaded by the stupidity of human beings. I really do.

But I am a realist who sees the ugliness along with the beauty, and knows that without the ugliness for contrast we might not see the beauty.

" The Farleys" I completely keep on with your minds buddy, sure thing - THUMBS UP!

That's what they used to say about slavery....and they were wrong then too.

I'm glad that decent people didn't give up on that. I hope they never do on this one, either. I don't blame anyone for being deceived by the lobby with billions of dollars at stake, and politicians of all persuasions in their back pocket.

But you are being deceived, and unfortunately, it is innocent children paying the price.

Yes, that's correct. They could even beat their slaves on and on...with the argument that it was "their" body, as if a person can be the possession of another person to the point of a torturous death.

When there are 2 sets of DNA, there are 2 persons. Any child could tell you that, if they were given the chance...

yeah.... old times the slaves were taken with war and arms but nowadays in the society there're economical slaves, the difference is that before the owner of the slaves had the obligation to provide feed and accommodation to his own slaves but nowadays the economical slave are required to search theirs owns methods for survival and pay themselves the food and accommodation even the extortion taxes to the top of the economical pyramid and so on...... I'm totally agree with you
