Okay guys, I got in touch with J and asked him about THAT base. It is a custom base made by Chris Stambaugh http://www.stambaughdesigns.com/basses.php that base sounds phenomenal and J is hands down the best base player I have had the pleasure of playing with. He hails from the great state of New York. I hope to play with him for many moons! His amp is a Markbass and cab an Avatar. J has lots of basses all very unique and the man is a great human being.
