I haven't bought anything for myself in a while, so starting to GAS up!

My wife gave me a nice cowbell (and beater) for my birthday, but I really don't have much use for it. Guess I need to write a rockin' cowbell song!

I made a spontaneous purchase when I saw Musiciansfriend had the Bogner Uberschall pedal on their stupid deal of the day for almost 50% off. I was feeling all good about it until I started reading all the negative press it got. Anyway, I tried it with a bunch of my amps. It didn't really sound that great with my modern stuff so I decided to give it a whirl with one of my Silvertone 1482's. They love dirt pedals so I figured if it would get along with anything it would be that. Sure enough, it's a great match up. Here is a short Pink Floyd inspired clip I made last Sunday with it. First I made the rhythm part with Boss CE5 chorus and an Echo Park delay played through a Ditto looper then kicked in the Bogner pedal and played a lead over it. l took the lazy path with the recording by using a SM57 mic plugged into my old Jamman pedal. The nice part is this is what it sounds like from TV type volume all the way up. It's a nice addition to my little grab & go jam rig.

Nice. I listened twice, clicked like. That's a pretty decent recording with a lot of headroom. The lead got a little out of time (imo) but not a deal breaker. Do you have any original stuff? I'm getting to the breaking point with Pink Floyd related stuff.

 yeah, there are issues.....it was a live let it rip type looper pedal recording. i wasn't really going for accuracy on that...just feel having some fun with a new pedal and my 1482. To be honest I haven't even played the song in the clip all the way through yet. My wife was playing and singing "Mary Jane" by Alanis Morrisette on her acoustic and the Em to A reminded me of this song so I worked out the other chords and then did the clip about 10 minutes later.

I don't have any original stuff. My job eats up all of my time these days so I typically just play a bit for fun. I wish I had more time to just get out and play a few gigs but 4 hrs of commuting a day makes working on stuff in a band impossible.

I've done it for many years but it's getting old. It has made a huge impact on my life. Now that I can just as effectively do my job remotely due to recent system upgrades there really isn't a valid reason for me to spend all of that time driving back and forth. This is something I hope to change before year end.

Saw a Korg synth that really got my attention recently. It has tubes as an option and the clavichord sound really wails.

Sadly, I'm afflicted by a not so rare malady called 'pecuniary strangulation.' Plus I'm not a very good keyb player so I'll hold off robbing a bank to get that one. Sweet though, very sweet.

I just a new Roland FP80 Digital piano  ,...That sounds real real nice! Awesome in fact!!
Of course, I'll be wanting, needing, to play it outside so the entire neighborhood can hear it, I bought a Peavey KB4 piano amp!! And just in case a guitarist, a drummer and a singer walked by and wanted to join in the music, It has 4 channels!!

I picked up a new truck to haul my gear around and I picked up a Hartke B60 bass amp at a auction for $5.00 and it works.

Ordered something I've been coveting for a year. Had it installed, it didn't work! :x
The manufacturer is sending a replacement. One month without my favorite guitar. :(
If this thing works, it's gonna be YUGE, as the Donald says.

My new gear is a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster. Here it is through a 6505+ head I got in trade earlier this year.
It's true opposites really do attract.
