Anything goes . . . guitar, singing, piano, poetry . . .
Sign-up starts at 7:30pm, the mike opens at 8PM.

Non-profit organization; $5 suggested donation. This is a light-hearted and fun event with a group of friendly and open folks.

How are these OMs going? Around here (north of Boston) summer attendance tends to fall way off at open mics. This Wednesday will be my 3rd week in a row hosting the new one in Nashua as they asked me to fill in last week because the originally-scheduled electric jam had been cancelled. Only had 5 sign-ups, but one was a full 6-piece band. PITA to get them set up but they filled the night out well!

I'm getting about a dozen sign-ups, which works out perfectly for the 8-10pm time slot.
It's a small venue - seats about 30.
This night we had 22-24 people. At the end of the evening no one had left, and no one wanted to leave.
And - after the show - people were standing in groups (guys n' girls, both) making connections with other musicians for about 30 minutes.
This open mike is pretty good, and - being a performing arts organization, often there are videos of the performances posted on the internet within a week.
I have a good 15-20 of my performances posted, because of this open mike..
To the point of your question; no attendance hasn't fallen off.
