nope, not me, Mr. Reynolds put this together, when I asked him what tunes he likes or performs.. I am simply a cut & paste artist from an email exchange.. craigslist might pan out someday yet.. :)

sorry dayne....that position has already been filled here at BM!

as for picking out 4 tunes for you.....well, that depends on what you're looking for and how much work/time you want to put in on getting them together. obviously what's also relevant is YOUR playing style and what you feel is gonna put your best foot forward.

Chitlins Con Carne, Watermelon Man, Work Song, and Moaning are all pretty cool, and straightforward blues based jazz tunes. if grease is a component of your playing style that you want to shine some light upon....these are great tunes to bring da grease.

in more of a straight up blues vein, it's hard to go wrong Howlin Wolf's "300 Lbs", "Who's Been Talkin" (which Rob't Cray did an excellent cover of as well), I prefer Wolf's version of "Killin Floor" but the A. King version is pretty happenin' too as they both have that great rhythm gtr hook. (pray that they're not doing Electric Flag's version, because while it's super badass w Mike Bloomfield killing it......it's considerable more developed arrangement wise with some other sections).

Bon Chance!!!

Mark, thanks for the reply, it took me considerable time, but I managed to get
Albert Collins "I Ain't Drunk" loaded up in cache memory youtube, but now looking to find if there is a software program that I can download it to a file on my puter.. Rhapsody no longer works with XP so I had to cancel it, it was a useful tool to learn lead solos off of.. I can't see me playing like Albert Collins but I will use my stylings hybridized with his "style".. that tune reminds me of Fish Don't Fly"?.. maybe it is because of the vocal that is spoken sorta, rather than sung? per se

collins was a pretty serious mofo gtr player. and how interesting that he played out Gmin tuning and pushed a capo around the neck to play in different keys (both maj and minor).

jimmy, could not get the download of Albert Collins off youtube to show up as a file, on my Ableton recording software, maybe Audacity has a feature that will allow a download but nothing in the Ableton software, so I did go to Firefox and dowmnloaded youtube video and audio downloader, then when I got the file to show MPG4 I could not get my Windows Media Player to accept it was not able to "open" it, so I then found a VideoLAN - VLC media player that is now working!.. overjoyed now to listen to youtube audio without losing it at end of internet browsing session.. yeppers!
