Too many of us on both sides of the fence (or all three sides in my case) are bitter. What's going to happen will happen whatever it is and I doubt it will be unicorns and sugarplums, but it does seem counterproductive to hand our 'present' over to our 'future.'

I suggest when you left / right boys get cranky - maybe you should each throw a pie at a big-shot - pick your party affiliation and let fly at your perceived tormenters! You'd feel better and I'd get a free show! 8)

I'm the least flush I've been in a long time due to some health issues keeping me away from that IT trough but non the less I confess I'm having a blast and the happiest and most creative I've been in many moons.

Congratulations JimmyD on your good fortune - I will say that I have never had any cause to think you are bitter and when we disagree I've found you a friendly and worthy adversary.

yeah, i'm pretty bitter myself suffering under the oppressive yoke of obama's tyrany!

we own our house that sits on a few acres out in the country....we own our three cars....my biggest problem is deciding WHICH gtr, bass, or mando to bring to the gig.

but it's certainly not about the material things....more importantly i've been married to the same great lady for 37 yrs. i have my health as do those nearest and dearest to me. i play in four bands w talented people who are all upstanding individuals and who i love dearly (even those who have different politics than i). i have students who travel as much as 90 min to take lessons with me and we get to share music and i see the lightbulb go off for them when they have their "A-HA!" moments! life isn't good....it's VERY good!

anyone who tries to paint me as stressed or angry doesn't have a clue!

jimmy, i'm glad to hear things are going well for you. mike, hang in there....hopefully better times aren't too far down the road for you.

It's been said that if you think you can or you think you can't, you are correct. Just taking action towards a goal creates a useful dynamic.

Don't worry about me brother - working full time on my own projects for the first time in years makes me feel like I'm back to doing things right.

Who said the repubs are making your life miserable?

Since you continue to install your self in this section of bandmix.... There really are only a few factors that make you miserable. ME.

how sad that you should choose to make that your goal. :(

sadder still that you're not embarrassed to admit it.

saddest yet is that you think you actually think you accomplish that.
