While the threat of Muslim-related terrorism attracts headlines, per a 2014 report, only 37 Americans have been killed by such terrorism since 9/11.

Meanwhile, in just the last six years, 63 Americans have been killed in the United States by people connected to right-wing hate groups.

And 53,000,000 have died by abortion

It doesn't matter if the number is 53, 53 million or 53 trillion. Those women had the RIGHT to do what they want with their bodies. Why is that so hard for those on the right to see that?

First of all, it's a body inside her body, but not her body. The baby has a separate DNA and it is not her body that is being killed, or she would be dead after an abortion (like the baby). Since half of that DNA belongs to the Father, there is another person who should be granted some consideration also; especially since they are required to financially support that baby for the next 18 years.

Slave owners once had the "right" to own the body of another person about 150 years ago. Didn't make it right just because the law says they had that "right", and this issue is no different except slaves weren't usually murdered because they had economic value, while babies have economic cost.

Conservative Christians were the abolitionist movement, and forced our government to put a stop to that horrible injustice. We would do the same with the current holocaust, if there were enough righteous people left in America. But darkness only grows darker because people love the lie more than the truth.

In Africa, it was muslims who sold christians into slavery. In America and in England, the end of slavery started with Christian abolitionists.

And it would have been eradicated in the South without a war. The only reason it lasted as long as it did was economics. Too much money was being made, none of it in the North, but the average southerner wasn't benefitting from it so it was only a matter of time. It didn't end soon enough, either way.

It proved to be a divisive political issue that Lincoln used well to end States rights, and give us the Federal Government that is slowly bleeding what was once a land of the free, home of the brave.

Getting back to the first post... What a crock of do do. No basis in any objective fact, totally discounting the 9/11 lives lost and then even going further to discount the many incredible young lives that have served and fought and died to combat muslim extremists. I think that a huge spin is being put on the real facts. But that is expected from this poster.

It's been a hobby of mind (all my life) to study the Ost Front - the war between the Nazis and Soviets. Ideologically? Close to identical - although of course the Germans are better at it - those krauts are good at organizing.

For four long years most of Europe was one big concentration camp. Ever ask yourselves why the Soviets made no big deal about 'liberating' Auschwitz?' The answer is simple - they thought it was no big deal. Stalin was at the time setting up his own death camps here and there and had sent TEN divisions of NKVD (secret police - later KGB) to Poland to 'purify' the place.

But study their doctrine and you will find only ONE big difference - the Nazis weren't into that 'dialectical materialism' bullshit. The Soviets claimed to buy into that but never could quite tell us what it meant.

We fought against both sides, ultimately - first the Nazis - and hoo boy - didn't we take a lot of that home with us eh?

Then that lengthy cold war that the Soviets finally won - by getting rid of communism while we starting adopting it.

Moral of this story I suppose is be careful who you fight. I think Nietzsche said something about this - "You stare too long into the abyss and it begins to stare back."

...importance of improving race relations? - In raw numbers Stalin / Lenin probably killed about three times as many people as that other under achiever - Adolf. Both had their pogroms with Stalin's continuing into the early fifties.

No American leaders care about improving race relations - every move they make causes more discord. Education - please...The central government has no business in education. The proof of the pudding is in eatin.' Our evolved from the Prussian model - the role of which was to create docile citizens.

As a sometime hiring manager at various levels I'll tell you for free that education in the US is a joke. That's why I don't like Ronald Reagan - I voted for him because he said he'd junk the US Dept of Education. He didn't. The results were on display in Baltimore a couple weeks ago.

If states want public education that's their biz... In Atlanta GA I know of a church school that costs 4k per yr and produces excellent results. No racial issues, no crime issues.

Downtown Fulton Co schools cost taxpayers 21k per year and perform so badly that the administrators are fixing to head to the graybar hotel shortly for cheating on test scores to make it look like the schools were performing. They are not.

And btw - every time governments start mandating on economic issues like minimum wage - it's time to launch the lifeboats. Rarely do people who combine merit and morals with political ambition find their way to power. Even then - only Calvin Coolidge and Davy Crockett come to mind as American politicians who had a clue about how economics work and actually respected the constitution.

My opinion? As this homosexual rights baloney is a disgrace used by politicians to foment discord. Homosexuals had and still have the same rights under the constitution as anybody else. But sadly both 'right' and 'left' (same to me) use buzzwords to circumvent the rule of law.

views on same sex marriage? I can't believe anybody in their right mind thinks that's a good idea. Historically - nobody would have even suggested such a thing. Under the law of the land I do believe that homosexuals should have access to civil unions if they wish, and those unions should include what ever benefits are associated with normal marriage.
