Really? He's looking for banjo? Accordion? Bagpipes???

This is why I can't pay for a premium membership. If this site were actually run by musicians, would accordion, bagpipes and dobro be default instruments? Don't get me wrong. They are fine instruments. I wish I could play every one of them, but does anyone here really believe that a 27 year old dude who lists electronic and Dubstep as genres he's looking to play is looking for these? I call b.s.on that.

maybe peeps have run out of fresh ideas for keeping this forum interesting? a guy can only post so many videos or audio of their band, brag about their gear, play a shredding riff so many times before it get's played out.. I looked at posts on here from 2008 and that group did not seem any more interesting then this board, so somebody will break out something new and entertaining to wake it from the dead..

Well guys I hate to be too boring so just to break up the monotony here's what I've been up to in the last few months: I've written a musical (multi-media performance) with as many as six songs (plus vid scripts) for release by other means (14 songs total in the performance) . We are designing a game to go with the release of the first music (and subsequent releases) - a sort of demo to sell the concept - and we're having a lot of fun.

My challenge is to record enough of this to encourage a higher level of collaboration from the players I want. I'm working with some good players now and I appreciate them - but ultimately I want insane young arrogant shitheads to take this show on the road.

While those folks are burning up the circuit with cuts from the musical - the full script will itself be performed initially on college campuses around the country. A rock band with a 16 piece orchestra and a screen behind them projecting the video...

Fan's cell phones will light up as the latest version of the Q-Zone game downloads to them just because I love them!

I've been trying to not talk about that too much because I realize it sounds a bit hokey, and obviously I won't pull it off in the next two weeks - but if you all are getting bored - this is what one old burned out refugee cooked up and by gee and by golly I'm gonna sell it - through one venue or the other.

Now - who else is working on not being boring? Planet - I think you were talking about playing with a favorite drummer. As a bass player - I totally get that and how cool it is.

Anybody else pushing hard for something? Fisherman Bob knocked out a CD. Mr. Haley has a hot new band. Yod is touring all over the place. Let's hear it boys.

Guys with me it ain't ego - my friend dreamed this so I wrote it - most of it - he wrote the lyrics to a pretty dark song from remembering the dream..My other pal like me plays guitar and bass and wrote some of the music . I'm pushing it in several directions - all of them based upon getting this thing performed by a cast. I can't imagine doing anything cooler.

Based upon the dream - I believe this thing is going somewhere. I haven't had that feeling in a long time. It's psychedelic!

So how about it folks? Let's brag! What are your real goals?
