If one is putting on a "Production" as in theatrical display or pretend to be someone else perhaps "portray" would be a more appropriate term. the blonde wig to me would seem to be an excellent choice, unless of course the best singer you audition was already blonde. And does the carpet have to match the drapes?

Yeah it can create some hilarious confusion. When I was in Stonecircle, I showed up for a few shows in black leather and studded belts - you could see in the crowds faces they couldn't figure out how to reconcile celtic music with the Judas Priest look. What a hoot.
