The "Ventures" Are still going strong with their signature Strat sounds. Back when instrumentals were the rage, during the dawn of R&R, the Ventures had a lot of top 40 recordings on the airwaves.

I'm currently making a tape of two Ventures best of CDs, that have the same cover, but 4 songs are the same (the rest are different). Bargain bin shopping for great music. Can't beat it.

Maybe I can start a thread about Stratocaster guitars, dripping in condescension. Then Badstrat could finally get some payback for picking on the LP. Is that how this works?

And the rest of us who like Strats? If I didn't like Les Pauls I would have saved a lot of money.

Don't forget that every flat top guitar player looks as if they just stepped out of a Peter Paul and Mary tribute band.

Whew...that was cold. And it cracked me up since I've always felt the same way. And yeah I like Doc Watson and classical guitar and so on. I just don't like the way the guitars look.

Remember 'Hootenanny?' I was glad when it was replaced by Shindig!
