Billy Preston was awesome! The guy struggled with demons all his life but worked with everybody, and got together with Dennis Wilson to write one of the finest ballads of all time: "You are so beautiful" covered by Joe Cocker.

Hi guys, didn't Billy Preston also work with Little Richard when Billy was just a young kid. I think I remember him playing keyboards or something like that with him or on tour.

I saw Billy Preston in March 1973, he opened for Uriah Heep. I had front row center tickets, my uncle was the promoter. Billy had a large afro and a sparkly purple top and was sweating his ass off.

I bet that was a hell of a show!
